I was sat in traffic the other day. It's probably why I got run over.
As the famous saying goes...
Work sucks, go longboarding!
But, there's a good chance that you - like me - don't have that much choice in the matter.
The good news is they aren't mutually exclusive!
Secondary to writing these emails, skating to work is my favourite part of the day. Even on days when I don't squeeze a skate in, I get a skate in.
Two, in fact!
And so it is with great pleasure that I can share our new page that Rob has been busy writing this week:
There's a good chance that as you're reading this post, you already have a board, but I can recommend clicking through for a few laughs, especially at the reasons some of the boards might not be right for you.
I urge everyone to try a skate to work or school - doesn't have to be all the way, even a stint to and from the bus stop or train station is invigorating!
Have fun with it - try some manuals. Start by just lifting your front wheels over a crack or a bump, progress to drain covers. Before you know it, you'll be able to wheelie across roads on the green light! It always gets a smile.
Those drains you used to wheelie - soon you'll be ollieing clear over them. I'm still working on clearing the road gaps.
You'll start to see the city in a different light. It really is a playground. And when you start applying that perspective elsewhere in your life... things get really, really fun.
It may be hard to imagine it this week, but I have it on good authority that the sun will come out... tomorrow.

PS - A word to anyone using Klarna payments
As of this week, the "No interest, no fees, no impact to your credit score" line is no longer true.
Late repayments will incur fees of up to £5 and will negatively impact your credit score.
Read the new T&Cs on their website here.
We will continue to offer Klarna as a payment option for now but will be monitoring for any further changes to their service.
Skate to work - get home grinning. It's so ridiculously fun.
We shot this a few years back, it was my first time on the Lush Nomad. I haven't stopped riding it since.

True story: many moons ago, the designer of this board beat me in a longboard marathon race for $10k. Its safe to say that Jeff knows a thing or two about what makes a board feel good going a long way. If you want absolute max efficiency, look no further than the Loaded x Pantheon Trip.
