I bought a surfskate from Vandem and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. I found the website product details and blog posts really informative as a starting point, then I dropped them a message on WhatsApp for a bit of advice. Matt picked up the messages and was incredibky helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive, so we quickly settled on the best option for me - he built and shipped the deck next day; it arrived super quickly with a few stickers, bushing and a hand-written note thrown in, which was a really nice touch. What was amazing too, was the after-sale support - I had a few questions about fine-tuning the setup of the board which I sent via WhatsApp and Matt took the time to answer them thoroughly, with an invitation to ask any more as and when they came up. Can't recommend Vandem enough - absolutely fantastic!

They set up a Lush Throttle short longboard with Carver C7 surfskate trucks for me within 5 minutes and it is an absolute dream to ride.
Besides this they had an amazing assortment of different decks and set-ups.
Really great experience, would definitely recommend for anyone looking for their next board.

Would give them 10 stars if I could Matt was great in assisting me with a refund for a purchase of a longboard that I ended up not getting as I skateboard a lot and couldn’t justify a longboard as well would definitely buy a product from these guys though super quick with communication on whatsapp

Having wanted to get a longboard for a few years, I finally decided it was time. After searching online, I came across Vandem. The reviews were so positive and I can now confirm why. I ordered the Lush Longboards Freebyrd Lo-Pro Woodgrain Drop-through Longboard
Elite Complete after seeing that other novices had been recommend this as a starter board. The online ordering process was faultless. From ease of website use, clear item information/descriptions and helpful reviews of others who have purchased in the past. I ordered at lunchtime and it came before lunchtime the next day. It arrived well packaged (with a hand signed message on the receipt, nice touch) and the board itself is beautiful. At 39 I’ve never skated before. I’m only just starting my journey, however, Vandem will be the only shop I use after my positive experience. 3 days into my skating and I love it. I get excited to wake up each morning to take the board out for practice before work and look forward to more practice when I get home. I hope to visit the store in person one day when I need to get more skate parts and meet with the team. However, the online process and customer service means those who can’t go in person can still a positive experience online. Thanks to everyone at Vandem, you’ve really set the standard for how a company should operate. Anyone thinking about trying longboarding for the first time… please do and consider Vandem for your needs!!!

I’m new to long boarding at 59 years old so bought a lush freebyrd lo-pro woodgrain drop through based on the website saying it was good for total beginners, the reviews and of course I think it looks good as does my granddaughter! It was really easy to order on line and arrived next day well packaged with a personal note (nice touch) I’m up and riding not quite carving yet but that’s the aim before I turn 60! Great service guys

Thank you Vandem for the prompt delivery of the Landyauchtz Rally Cat I purchased from you at the weekend. The board arrived on Tuesday after ordering on Sunday evening!! I had my 1st ‘’go’’ on the board today and it did not disappoint. My 1st time on a board in 40 years (I am 55) and it was amazing, carving (as best I could) down a nice, long, gentle hill. I ordered an Arbor Bamboo drop through - its a lovely thing - almost too pretty to skate.
It arrived on time, in perfect condition in a really protective box, with freebie stickers, extra bushings & a nice note from Danielle included. They look like they're a shop that really promotes & supports skating too, so it's all good.

Ace advice given and actually listened to what I was after and have loads of options and I could tell it came from experience. Not once was he pushy for a sale like another well none skate company I also emailed so it was a no brained to order from here. I have little to no knowledge when emailing and that didn’t matter or change the way I was spoken too. I work customer service myself and it was simple brilliant. Absolutely no complaints and if I need anything again, I’m coming straight back!

Irrespective of selling skate kit, this shop's level of service stands head and shoulders above so many others, from outdoors shops and even car dealerships I have visited.

It's genuinely difficult to say how impressed we were with our first visit to Vandem. We (my young son and I) were treated with such respect, patience and warmth.
Whilst we knew very little, the advice and help was never patronizing, indeed it was almost as if we were made to feel part of the brotherhood of longboarders and welcomed into the fold! What really blew me away was that upon telephoning a day later to enquire about another board for my (other) son I was told that a certain product that I had (already) purchased was now cheaper and they insisted on crediting the difference. This was without me knowing this or asking!
I have bought huge amounts of kit over the years and this has been the best experience by far.
'Support your local (specialist) shop' has perhaps become a bit of a cliche but I now would not dream of using anyone else for what has already become a wonderful new sport for our whole family.
