Reached out to the team at Vandem to help me select a suitable first longboard. I have ridden street decks all through my teens an 20s - and have continued with cruisers and electric skateboards across the last few years. However I was really after a board that would let me carve and move into freeriding - but would be suitable for my 16 stone, 5ft 10 rugby player build! Adam was extremely helpful providing me with options and taking the time to explain why the Arbor Dropcruiser Flagship 38’’ could be a very good option for me. The board arrived on time and packaged very well - I had a blast getting out on it - very smooth ride and carvy, rolls forever and I can’t wait to get out on it again tomorrow! Got a funky lo Pro lush Longboard, smooth ride to allotment and country lanes fun, energetic and for all ages. Needs to be mandatory summer activity.,government policy, prefer to be behined a cruiser. Than some god awful putrid wide birth assswinging skeleton lycra noobs. One of the nicest online shopping experiences ever. I ordered a Landyachtz Drop Cat 33. It arrived next day despite ordering late however they'd accidentally sent the 38 instead. I called and they offered to arrange a collection straight away and sort out a swap. They were really apologetic for the inconvenience (it wasn't really an inconvenience). They got the Drop Cat 33 posted out which still arrived on the day they originally said for delivery, so actually wasn't actually an inconvenience at all. I was so stoked by the friendly service I even bought another board and they gave me a small discount. I love the personal touch to service, little notes in pack and the small free gifts. I love the quick free delivery. This is how buying online should be. Hopefully I'll get to actually visit the store some time and will be using Vandem Longboard Shop for my skate needs in the future!

Brilliantly helpful and great selection of quality boards and parts. Bought a Lush Freebyrd Lopro then upgraded the wheels. Adam guided me through the wheel choice and answered my many emails. The result was Orangatang Orange 80a Caguama 85mm wheels which gave me the great rolling experience I was looking for. Highly recommended shop. My online experience was superb. Delivery super quick and free stickers!

Adam was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and above all patient with me and my lack of correct terminology. Many online and physical shops that sell skate stuff are run by people who don't know anything about skating - they don't care about the hobby or how you're enjoying it, they just see it as a sale. Vandem is a different story. Vandem is a company run by actual skaters who are passionate about the hobby and want you to enjoy it too. When I was new to the hobby I called up and spoke to a very helpful and knowledgeable gentleman who helped me find the right board for me down to every specific part. Whenever a friend of mine says they want to get into longboarding, Vandem is the first place I tell them to look. When they say they've seen some cool looking longboards on amazon, I slap them and Vandem is the first place I tell them to look.

I got my first longboard from this shop. I learned a lot of useful info this web . The despatch was very fast and order arrived on time. The outer package had been damaged, but the board itself had been packed very well and it's safe.

I'm a big fan of Vandem Longboards as they are probably one of the best businesses I've ever dealt with regarding customer service etc. I used to skate loads ("normal boards") through my teenage years and now in my early 30's I really wanted to get back on a board but not necessarily throwing myself down sets of stairs or rails anymore and finding myself in A&E like I used to do every once in a while! During the first lockdown I thought it was the perfect time to get back into it but didn't know the first thing about longboards. I used the WhatsApp link to contact Vandem which is super easy asking advice on boards, within minutes I got back loads of information and was told to give them a call anytime if I needed more. I ended up purchasing a Lush Freebyrd Lo-Pro elite on their recommendation and I couldn't have been more pleased with the build as it's a quality build that's great to skate. I have used it every other day since and love it and have since gone on to purchase the Lush slide gloves they exchanged no problem when I needed a slightly bigger size. I've become slightly obsessed with longboarding now and already eyeing up a couple of different boards I would like to add to my collection shortly. My two young kids also like skating so no doubt will need boards of their own in the future and I wouldn't go anywhere else for my skating needs! Vandems website and Facebook page is amazing with loads of advice and info and loads of cool updates! Lastly they are a cool independent business with a great ethos about reducing their environmental impact and nothing comes packaged with any plastic etc. Vandem are the guys to go with as you'll always get unbeatable customer service and great quality products. 👍

Excellent customer service.
Ordered some bits and pieces and missed the Christmas postage cut off date. Got a call, they explained the situation and couldn’t have been more helpful.
Also their website is second to none. A huge range of boards, accessories and all the other bits you might need, but the articles are BRILLIANT. For a total beginner like me, these articles are a godsend.

I must have called Adam up at least 4 times to get his advice on how to set up a longboard that I was "hoping" to buy for my daughter—probably dumb questions such as will it take my weight if I jumped on it, are the wheels large enough for what my daughter wants to do, to what type of bolts and length of bolts I should choose! Adam's advice on choice of components, maintenance and setup, were spot on. His knowledge and clear enthusiasm for skateboarding gave me the confidence to buy from Vandem. The Vandem website also has superb in-depth information for newbies like me. Even though the deck my daughter wanted had sold out—I purchased elsewhere to get in time for Christmas—I didn't consider buying the other components from anywhere else. Vandem's pricing was competitive and more importantly the service and advice was second to none. Adam offered to put together the bearings, wheels and truck so it was one less thing for me to worry about (which I took him up on). He even phoned me the day before (Friday late afternoon) to keep me informed that delivery should arrive on Monday. As it turned out, it arrived the next morning! Everything well packaged and included free washers that are not normally part of the components but Adam advised would protect the deck—it would have been how he would set up the board if it was his. Vandem will be my default for anything Skateboard and longboard related. Great service and cannot recommended highly enough.
