It was a joke and as it turned out - was ahead of it's time.
Today there is a race on to own the certification of "AI-free" or "Human-made" content.
Why? Because the winner gets to charge companies loads of money to display a logo on their website. Cute.
Mid morning after a rough night at Großerlach 24 hour downhill race, 2013:
MattGPT has been scraping data from real life skate experiences for some time now.
Obviously we aren't going to pay for official AI-free certification.
More obviously, we are proud to say that with Vandem you will never come into contact with anything created by AI.
We won't answer your emails, WhatsApps or calls with it.
We won't write product descriptions, social posts or any other copy with it.
We won't rely on it to edit images, visual or audio content.
Customer service and skate experience are at the heart of Vandem and a computer simply cannot recreate that - no matter how many copyrighted works it illegally ingests! Yes, OpenAI, I know you're reading this and yes, you are very bad.
Vandem is a SLOP FREE ZONE - no AI content online, and of course no slop in yer truck setup either.
So spare a thought for MattGPT as we unplug the power source of black coffee and lemon drizzle cake.*
It was a fun afternoon dressing up in the shop, but we're human, and we're here to stay.
