What are you burning this weekend?
More than 400 years ago, Guy Fawkes had a few bones to pick with the government.
As I understand it, he had relatively simple demands:
- Fix the shoddy road surfaces that rattle his bearings to bits
- Fix the shoddy weather that rusts his bearings all too often
- Stop capitalising on broken bearings by fleecing the public for new ones
After years of sacrificing gifts, goats and groms to the skate gods to earn their favour and the privilege of rolling smooth, he'd had enough.
He decided to sacrifice the whole of parliament.
And so, after local reports of unsuccessful rituals (see above), we at Vandem have chosen to act swiftly to avoid the same fate.
This month only: Buy a set of Cult Wheels, get a free set of Lush bearings.
You don't even have to do anything - just check the box before adding to cart... But do let me know if it doesn't work and I'll sort it out.
Around Bristol next week?
Our very own Danielle is running Yoga for Skaters - join in and feel less achey when you wake up in the morning!
If you're more in the mood to sit down and veg out, we've got that covered too: All female downhill skate crew Woolf Women are showing their new film in Clevedon tomorrow night (Saturday 4th).
And finally... As part of my ongoing Lyme recovery mission, I am retreating back home for winter. I'll still be in your inbox every week, but to give Rich and Danielle a chance in the shop we are changing to an "open by appointment" situation. Give us a call on 01179332833 and we'll work out a good time.
Stay safe out there. We cannot be held responsible for the consequences should you decide to sacrifice any goats or groms,
Matt @ Vandem
Set of hard wheels for the skatepark this winter? It's a whole lot less hassle if you have a dedicated set of bearings to go in them. Get them for free with a set of Cult Zero that will more than meet your requirements...
