Some other things to consider...
- If in doubt - go softer! Turnier boards are easier to balance on, and a lot more fun to skate.
- If you are "between hardnesses," we would recommend the softer option. So for example, for a 73kg rider, "Soft" rather than "Stock Setup" might be a better choice. Get in touch if you're not sure!
- if you want a very turny board - say for a dancing longboard - then it's worth going one stop softer than you otherwise would do. Watch out for wheelbite though!
- Likewise, if you want a board for downhill speed, then go up a step harder than the weight table suggests.
- You do have a bit of adjustment in the truck's kingpin nut, but we would suggest that if you have more than two threads showing then it's time to go to a harder bushing.

I've never been a skateboarder, but at the age of 30 I decided to give it a go when some of my friends got back into skating this summer and my social media feed was full of vids of them bombing around in the sun. Having had my order for a Dinghy delayed 3 times by another site, I was able to find what seemed to be the last dinghy for sale in the UK on Vandem's online store. So I cancelled the other order and received my board the very next day. The service by the guys was great, I think I got an email confirming my board was packed for delivery about 20mins after I placed it. In the 3 weeks since, I've had an absolute blast cruising around roads and parks. I've even managed to land a few shove-its this week which has me eager to learn some more tricks. The Dinghy is a great little cruiser, and completely matched my expectations from the reviews online. Vandem's service is top notch, and I like the eco-conscious recyclable packaging, as well as the free bearing lube thrown in. My only complaint is that the helmets were sold out so it would be good to see a few more options on that side, but given the supply issues with skate gear in general at the moment, I have to give the Vandem a pass on that for the time being. TL,DR: I will definitely be a returning customer!
