Bear Trucks, Lush Longboards, New Skate Product, Sabre Trucks, Videos -

Lush putting their money where their mouth is.

It's not that the TKP setup was bad.

In fact, at lower speeds it did feel more agile and natural than a RKP truck.

It's just, the split angle RKPs offer all that and more. There's just no reason for it not to be spread across all levels of Throttle complete.

The Throttle video was filmed on split angles before they were common knowledge. The shots from around 01:22 really show off how smooth and flowy they feel to bip around on.

Split angles does mean there is a price increase - the Pro is now £160, up from £120.

But the board feels a £million better, so we aren't too worried about that.

Now, I've had a few conversations this week that have given me the impression that all this is very tempting, but not as simple as it could be.

Here's the breakdown:

Split angles add agility at low speeds and stability at high speeds. They're also super easy to pump. I think (hope?) we've got that bit now.

But how to achieve it?

For Lush Longboards (or Sabre Truck) owners who want to convert their setup to split, the best value option is the Upgrade Kit.

As above but upgrading to precision hangers at the same time - Forged Upgrade kit.

If you already own enough bushings and bolts to last you a lifetime, don't bother with the above. You'll just want the plain old 28° baseplate...

...or perhaps a complete 28° truck - cast 180mm and forged 150mm and 180mm available.

For those of you without any Sabre Trucks, there are split angle trucksets available that include everything you'll need to get going.

You have the choice between:

Pick whatever's closest to your current truck width and you'll be just fine.

Questions? We're on the end of the phone and email inbox to answer them.

I do hope to have something different for you next week, but it's winter and while this is going mental, everyone else seems to be hunkering down.

Either way, I'll see you there,
Matt @ Vandem

There's a lot the Throttle can do, but it seems to be becoming accepted knowledge that the pumptrack is its spiritual home.
Split angles combined with Cult Invaders makes for some seriously fast laps.

Bristol locals have been on this train for a while!
