Most incredible customer service ever.
I called Adam because my young son (8) had decided he wanted a longboard. Adam actually SPOKE TO HIM PERSONALLY ON THE PHONE to find out what he wanted a longboard for. How many shops would actually take an 8 yr old seriously and talk to him?
Because he did, Adam realised that what my boy needed was not actually a longboard but a board he could learn tricks on. Even though he didn't stock what we needed, he advised us on what to get and then ordered it in. He also went out of his way to sort me out with what I think is probably a deeply cool deck that I'm too much of a noob to really appreciate.
He kept up constant email contact throughout the ordering process and then when we went to pick up the boards, he put one of them together in front of us so we could see how they fit together. To do all that and dissuade an 8 yr old from something he had his heart set on - well, any Dad can tell you that takes some doing.
One thing shone through: Adam loves skateboarding and was genuinely excited about getting us started on our new decks. Vandem isn't a normal high street business, Adam has his whole heart in it, and it shows.

My experience with Vandem has been very different from the norm. I got a call from Adam just to let me know the order was being processed and my expected delivery date. I also got emailed and phone calls at each stage or the order. Freakishly good service tbh. My order was a Loaded Dervish Sama deck (beautiful I must say) and was TRIPLE packaged and in perfect condition. All in all an excellent experience and an good example of how above and beyond service can win customer loyalty as it has done for me. Thanks very much Adam you certainly know how to run a business. Cheers for the t shirt and stickers too.

Phoned to sort out suitable board for my son who’s massively into his snowboarding. Have to say the service was amazing and there was no pressure to “oversell” to me even though I had no clue what I was looking at. To say my son is stoked would be an understatement, and he’s proudly shown of his new Samba to everyone and has made a few others, already into their Longboards, look with envious eyes. Would hugely recommend and maybe in a small whiles time I’ll be heading back to discuss something for my skiing daughter to enjoy and convert her to a board instead

Just wanted to say how helpful Adam was on both occasions when I had to call for advice on buying a board for my daughter, I would not know one board from another and all the advice I was given was excellent and no hard sell either which makes a nice change. Vandem is an awesome skate shop that offers much more personalised service than the norm. Adam and Rich are skaters themselves (and generally top blokes). They really take the time to listen to what you are after and recommend the most appropriate equipment, whether you're a total newbie or a seasoned veteran. Their stuff is great value too. Get yourself over to their shop for a chat and some friendly advice if you can, its well worth the trip.

The guys at Vandem are great to deal with and quickly answered the questions I had, then packed up this beautiful board for me (Hackebrett Wasser). The board it self is 'woah' level beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice. I gripped it with clear tape so some of that natural beauty shines through. The handling is very positive, not too squashy, great for carving and downhill. I can't wait till next weekend and go out again!

A BIG THANK YOU to Adam who gave me the confidence to finally purchase my first longboard after months and months of thinking about it and being confused about which type to buy. Adam and Rich are amazing. By far the best customer service ever, I first contacted this store via their website chat, Rich spent ages measuring boards for me and gave me some great advice. In the end I decided to drive the 1hr 40 mins to the shop to try the boards for myself.
Adam was helpful, really listened to what I needed and sold me an amazing board, a Lush Samba X flex ( the one Rich recommended). This has excellent turning, super flex and is really stable to ride. I was so impressed, I even got a longboard riding lesson, free T Shirt and stickers, will definitely always buy from these guys now. Very knowledgeable, not pushy sales people at all, just great guys who love longboards and are happy to help. Good old fashioned excellent customer service.

After getting back into skateboarding at the tender age of 52 I set up a pool/bowl board but came to realise that i was never going to be as good as I used to be. So thought I would try longboarding and after a chat with Adam he put me in the right direction and onto my first board. Lush Freebyrd with Elite Setup. Absolutely love this setup. I will definitely be using Vandem for all my future purchases and you can't fault the Lush boards. Guys were great in the shop and no sales pressure. Just good advice from people that enjoy boarding. Rang the store as my computer was taking a leave of absence and ordered my son a board for his birthday. Adam was so incredibly helpful and gave me some great advice. I honestly miss the human side of purchasing products these days that have turned into a non face to face place. I chose this shop over any other simply on the reviews and I am so glad. I recently ordered this gloves to learn to slide. The service was great, got it quickly and was very happy. The gloves are durable and very comfortable and I can almost nail a Coleman now, just need some more practice and with these gloves it's a pleasant experience.

A Kegel is a Kegel but the reason I buy my Kegel from Vandem is because they arrived at my door halfway across the country 20 hours after hitting the "confirm" button, at no extra cost.
This crew is almost creepily eager to get you your gear . Not just to make a sale; more to provide for your needs . . they actually seemed more excited than me, that I was getting a set of new wheels . . . last time I ordered something I said "no stickers" . . . .
and they send me a different freebie!
What the hell ?

I ordered online due to not being near Bristol. After doing a lot of research I was set on the set up I wanted and ordered. Email confirmation was received immediately and kept fully informed about what stage it was at. Great service and would massively recommend using them.

Hands down the best shop I have ever been in. 5 stars is not enough.
Really friendly , helpful and knowledgable.
They will never pressure sell. They don't want you to leave with an empty wallet, they want you to leave with the perfect board even if that is the one you came in with just slightly altered. Helped talk me through all the options with my new set up. Even stayed late just to chat. Got a free vandem t shirt with my order, never have I been so proud to wear a branded t-shirt. Love this shop. I mean just look at the 70 5star reviews all with super high praise. Best of luck. I'll be back soon I'm sure.

The guidance I had during my online chat was great and relative to all my novice questions and requirements. It has been 38 years since I last rode a skateboard and things have changed a lot.
I purchase the Lush Freebyrd Woodgrain Elite complete and when it arrived , well packaged, it looked better than in the photos. I love the board, it feels real smooth and can't wait to reach the stage where I need to upgrade so I deal with Vandem again.

Great shop! Just how a shop should be; knowledgeable, passionate staff happy to offer honest advice clearly backed up by experience. I went to buy a first longboard for my wife and I only had a small budget but instead of this being a problem I got great advice, an honest appraisal of the products on offer and I left with a reasonably priced board upgraded with some fairly minor components that made a big difference. I got such good service that it made me really glad I didn't just buy a (possibly cheaper) board online. Keep up the great work guys!

As a complete beginner I've contaced the shop for some information about longboards.
Wasn't sure what kind of information I'd get but to my surprise both Adam and Rich were incredibly patient and helpful. They have helped me with every bit of information and truly helped me not just to choose which longboard but gave me the information that helped me choose the right board for me.
Couldn't be happier with the help and with my new board and can't describe how much I'd recommend this shop.

On the advice of one of the Vandem staff, I picked a Freebyrd as a starter board.
I was initially toying with the idea of buying one of the £50 boards you see on ebay to get me going, but I am so glad that I saved the extra an got this board.
The board shipped out quickly, and arrived carefully packaged, with a nice note for me in the box which was a lovely personal touch. Some great stickers in the box too!
Out of the box everything was all set up and ready to ride, on top of this, the board itself is gorgeous to look at. Rolls smoothly across the tarmac, and it's made my entry to longboarding an enjoyable one.
