I was a little nervous about my first purchase from Vandem. Daft. I spoke with Adam and although I’m an amateur at best, I was treated like one of the ‘family’. A BIG THANK YOU to Adam who gave me the confidence to finally purchase my first longboard after months and months of thinking about it and being confused about which type to buy. He was so helpful that in fact I picked up two - one for my partner as well! Adam and Rich are amazing. By far the best customer service ever, I first contacted this store via their website chat, Rich spent ages measuring boards for me and gave me some great advice. In the end I decided to drive the 1hr 40 mins to the shop to try the boards for myself.
Adam was helpful, really listened to what I needed and sold me an amazing board, a Lush Samba X flex ( the one Rich recommended). This has excellent turning, super flex and is really stable to ride. I was so impressed, I even got a longboard riding lesson, free T Shirt and stickers, will definitely always buy from these guys now. Very knowledgeable, not pushy sales people at all, just great guys who love longboards and are happy to help. Good old fashioned excellent customer service.

After getting back into skateboarding at the tender age of 52 I set up a pool/bowl board but came to realise that i was never going to be as good as I used to be. So thought I would try longboarding and after a chat with Adam he put me in the right direction and onto my first board. Lush Freebyrd with Elite Setup. Absolutely love this setup. I will definitely be using Vandem for all my future purchases and you can't fault the Lush boards. Guys were great in the shop and no sales pressure. Just good advice from people that enjoy boarding. Rang the store as my computer was taking a leave of absence and ordered my son a board for his birthday. Adam was so incredibly helpful and gave me some great advice. I honestly miss the human side of purchasing products these days that have turned into a non face to face place. I chose this shop over any other simply on the reviews and I am so glad. I recently ordered this gloves to learn to slide. The service was great, got it quickly and was very happy. The gloves are durable and very comfortable and I can almost nail a Coleman now, just need some more practice and with these gloves it's a pleasant experience.

A Kegel is a Kegel but the reason I buy my Kegel from Vandem is because they arrived at my door halfway across the country 20 hours after hitting the "confirm" button, at no extra cost.
This crew is almost creepily eager to get you your gear . Not just to make a sale; more to provide for your needs . . they actually seemed more excited than me, that I was getting a set of new wheels . . . last time I ordered something I said "no stickers" . . . .
and they send me a different freebie!
What the hell ?

I ordered online due to not being near Bristol. After doing a lot of research I was set on the set up I wanted and ordered. Email confirmation was received immediately and kept fully informed about what stage it was at. Great service and would massively recommend using them.

Hands down the best shop I have ever been in. 5 stars is not enough.
Really friendly , helpful and knowledgable.
They will never pressure sell. They don't want you to leave with an empty wallet, they want you to leave with the perfect board even if that is the one you came in with just slightly altered. Helped talk me through all the options with my new set up. Even stayed late just to chat. Got a free vandem t shirt with my order, never have I been so proud to wear a branded t-shirt. Love this shop. I mean just look at the 70 5star reviews all with super high praise. Best of luck. I'll be back soon I'm sure.

The guidance I had during my online chat was great and relative to all my novice questions and requirements. It has been 38 years since I last rode a skateboard and things have changed a lot.
I purchase the Lush Freebyrd Woodgrain Elite complete and when it arrived , well packaged, it looked better than in the photos. I love the board, it feels real smooth and can't wait to reach the stage where I need to upgrade so I deal with Vandem again.

Great shop! Just how a shop should be; knowledgeable, passionate staff happy to offer honest advice clearly backed up by experience. I went to buy a first longboard for my wife and I only had a small budget but instead of this being a problem I got great advice, an honest appraisal of the products on offer and I left with a reasonably priced board upgraded with some fairly minor components that made a big difference. I got such good service that it made me really glad I didn't just buy a (possibly cheaper) board online. Keep up the great work guys!

As a complete beginner I've contaced the shop for some information about longboards.
Wasn't sure what kind of information I'd get but to my surprise both Adam and Rich were incredibly patient and helpful. They have helped me with every bit of information and truly helped me not just to choose which longboard but gave me the information that helped me choose the right board for me.
Couldn't be happier with the help and with my new board and can't describe how much I'd recommend this shop.

On the advice of one of the Vandem staff, I picked a Freebyrd as a starter board.
I was initially toying with the idea of buying one of the £50 boards you see on ebay to get me going, but I am so glad that I saved the extra an got this board.
The board shipped out quickly, and arrived carefully packaged, with a nice note for me in the box which was a lovely personal touch. Some great stickers in the box too!
Out of the box everything was all set up and ready to ride, on top of this, the board itself is gorgeous to look at. Rolls smoothly across the tarmac, and it's made my entry to longboarding an enjoyable one.

I've been on my new board (Lush Chopper) every day since I got it From Vandem and I'm loving it. I come from straight cruising longboard (Vanguard Loaded) land but I wanted to get something to do bowls etc with my skate mates. I've not done much of that yet, but the agility of the board makes me feel pretty confident there - it feels more like a skateboard, turns and pops in a way I couldn't get either of my longboards to (other board is a Lush machine 80's). But I was surprised by how much fun it was downhill and on the London commute - it's not so good on rough terrain, but with the set up I got (Indy 169 + Orange orangutan fat free's) it sticks to the road and the improved turning circle really helps keep out of trouble.
Super fun! And Adam was very helpful and did a great job setting the board up for me - thanks!

I've been using these guys for most of my skateboarding needs for years. Since they brought in all the best brands under one roof and are always spouting good advice when I go to the shop, there's no reason to go anywhere else.
They're very knowledgeable and have carefully curated a very mixed selection of boards, from inexpensive firsts, to Germanic works of art. If they're stocking it, you can be sure it's great value.

I accidentally ordered 1ft of grip tape instead of 3ft, instead of just sending it anyway I had a call from Adam a day after my purchase double checking it was correct. Over the phone he allowed me to correct my purchase and pay for amended order. The grip tape came a day after this and contained a bunch of stickers and a handwritten message on my invoice. Great customer service and really friendly guy, would 100% recommend and buy from them again :)
