Landyachtz Dipper Surfing Skeleton Pintail Longboard

The Landyachtz Dipper is an awesome oldschool inspired pintail - nice n flexy, surf style, perfect for simply cruising.

At 36" it's fairly compact for a pintail - shorter than the Lush Mako, bigger than the Arbor Fish.

The pintail shape can suffer when made smaller due to being so narrow under the back foot. Not this one! It doesn't have so much of a taper, meaning the standing platform is plenty big enough for your feet all the way down the length of it. Good design.

This Dipper is the Surfing Skeleton graphic, because why wouldn't a skeleton be surfing through the solar system? However, there are other options... worth a look, if you're after a mellower vibe!

This board features TKP trucks - normal skateboard trucks, like you'd find on a regular popsicle. They're narrow, mind. This gives it a much more dippy divey feeling that reacts super well at lower speeds, very similar to the "Pro" setup of the Lush Minnow. If you've got your eye on some big hills, however, we'd recommend looking for some RKP (longboard) trucks to offer more stability as the speed picks up.

The Fatty Hawgs are some of my favourite from the Hawgs lineup and give the board a nice plush feeling whilst rolling - whilst being stoneground and with rounded lips so if you want to push a bit harder in your carves, you might just get it sliding out - and it'll feel great.

The Landyachtz Dipper is a classic board from a classic brand. For an all-round cruising and carving longboard, you can't go wrong here!

Some other things to consider...

  • If in doubt - go softer! Turnier boards are easier to balance on, and a lot more fun to skate.
  • If you are "between hardnesses," we would recommend the softer option. So for example, for a 73kg rider, "Soft" rather than "Stock Setup" might be a better choice. Get in touch if you're not sure!
  • if you want a very turny board - say for a dancing longboard - then it's worth going one stop softer than you otherwise would do. Watch out for wheelbite though!
  • Likewise, if you want a board for downhill speed, then go up a step harder than the weight table suggests.
  • You do have a bit of adjustment in the truck's kingpin nut, but we would suggest that if you have more than two threads showing then it's time to go to a harder bushing.
  • If you already have a board (or some trucks!) and you would like to change your bushings to suit your weight, check out our truck/bushing compatability chart!
