Super knowledgeable guys who are eager to help.My friend and I flew over from the Netherlands to buy our new boards here as they stock locally made Lush longboards, and are we happy that we did!
They set up a Lush Throttle short longboard with Carver C7 surfskate trucks for me within 5 minutes and it is an absolute dream to ride.
Besides this they had an amazing assortment of different decks and set-ups.
Really great experience, would definitely recommend for anyone looking for their next board.

Lush Longboards Minnow Split Angle Longboard
The Minnow is Lush Longboards smaller longboard, perfect for smaller riders and adults who want a smaller overall setup.
The shape beats out any other small pintails out there but the real kicker is the truck setup - split angle trucks make this a perfect platform for anyone looking to get started with longboarding, including those who are looking to see how far they can take it...
We like pintails. You just can’t beat that classic surfy shape under your feet as you cruise along. Surfy lines just look fast, even standing still!
However the problem with pintail shapes, especially in smaller lengths, is that they get very narrow at the nose and tail, leaving you with not much space to stand.
Skinny pintails can look kinda cool in a shop window or on the internet, but you’ll see why we don’t like them as soon as you stand on one… Less space for your feet means less comfort, less board lean and less response from the trucks.
In other words, less of all the good things we all want our skateboards to have.
So when the guys at Lush came to shape the Minnow as a “compact pintail,” they really went right back to the drawing board. What they have created is a board with classic, surfy lines, in a shape that looks good and more importantly feels great under your feet and even better to skate.
So this thing skates better than other smaller pintails out there - no question. And that's just down to the deck design. Wait til you here about the trucks!
The Minnow features split angle trucks across all levels of build. It sounds a bit complex and techy, and it can be if you want to get into the weeds. But if you don't, rest assured. Split angle setups are easier for beginners to learn on - they add stability and control, as well as being:
- Easier to manoeuvre at low speeds
- Amazing to pump - maintaining speed by moving the board side to side
- Way better to carve
We appreciate the Lush Minnow costs more than other beginner options out there - but there's a reason for that. They simply don't come close.

Is the Elite setup worth the extra £25?
For only an extra £25, you can upgrade the "Pro" setup to the "Elite" Level build.
The Elite setup is a pretty heavy wheel and bearing upgrade over the Pro.
You get Sabre Built-In Labyrinth Bearings - fully shielded, easy to clean, with built in bearing spacers. They roll faster and last longer than the Pro level metal shielded ABEC5 bearings.
The Elite complete also includes Cult Emperor 71mm Longboard Wheels White, poured from a higher grade urethane. Premium urethane rolls fater, lasts longer, and generally injects a whole new level of life into the board - once you've skated decent wheels, you won't want anything else!
Less obvious is the wheel upgrade. Your extra £25 gets you a set of Cult Emperor over the Pro build's Lush Smoothie. Apart from the obvious size difference, the Cult Emperor are poured from a higher grade of urethane - an invisible difference that you will immediately notice as soon as you push the board off.
Just like the bearings, the wheel upgrade makes your board roll faster and last longer - what's not to like??
If you look at the SRP difference of these components and add them together you'll see that the upgrade from Pro to Elite represents serious value - trust us, it's well worth it.
Coupled with this, we've noticed that almost everyone who makes it into our shop ends up with an Elite setup - the value is clear once you have the board in your hands!
How about the Precision build?
If you're ready to skate the best setup out there the best of the best, step it up to the Precison Build!
For an extra £110, you get the same wheels and bearings as the Elite build, but with a set of Sabre Trucks Forged Precisions.
Given that a set of these trucks would normally set you back £390, that's a serious value for a serious setup!

Some other things to consider...
- If in doubt - go softer! Turnier boards are easier to balance on, and a lot more fun to skate.
- If you are "between hardnesses," we would recommend the softer option. So for example, for a 73kg rider, "Soft" rather than "Stock Setup" might be a better choice. Get in touch if you're not sure!
- if you want a very turny board - say for a dancing longboard - then it's worth going one stop softer than you otherwise would do. Watch out for wheelbite though!
- Likewise, if you want a board for downhill speed, then go up a step harder than the weight table suggests.
- You do have a bit of adjustment in the truck's kingpin nut, but we would suggest that if you have more than two threads showing then it's time to go to a harder bushing.

The board arrived on time. Good board for beginners. Feels good to cruise around. The only thing is I was kind of disappointed in was the wheels since I was expecting the Cult Emperor 71mm Longboard Wheels White which was specified to be the wheel for the pro kit but I got a different set of wheels instead.
