I once rode a tandem to Budapest
and my main takeaway was that people smile when they see a tandem.
My van isn't the most fuel efficient but... people smile when they see it.*
And smiling is infectious and feels good - why shouldn't everything I ride make people smile?
And so let me present one of my favourite big skateboards:
I lifted the "skateboarding/not skateboarding" cartoon above from Ben Jensen/Waybads instagram and I highly recommend giving him a follow. His art is epic and really captures some of the feelings I've had whilst skateboarding.
He probably also thinks that these big skateboards look a bit silly. They do to passers-by, too. And so they smile, and you smile, and someone else smiles...
...and before we know it, people will be engaging in the real world, turning off their phones, shutting out the polarising news, making positive change happen for themselves and their communities, and we'll all live happy ever after.
It may be a long shot, but it seems too good of one not to take!
Check out our full range of Oversized Skateboards and see if you can't change the world.
I'll be here, doing my bit,

*It may also be pity - unconfirmed
Big skateboards available from more brands than just Landyachtz!
The Arbor selection has grown lately and are looking extremely tidy.

Or go fully old school with the Yard Stix...
