When I started writing these newsletters
I searched the internet for tips and guides - email marketing for beginners.
I found many tips, but the more I read the more uneasy I felt with the whole thing.
Write as if your audience is 13 years old - keep it under fifty words - sell, sell sell..!
At some point we decided to take every accepted bit of marketing knowledge out there and simply do the exact opposite. It's much more fun, it's much more us, and it's much more necessary on days like today because these updates take more than a paragraph to explain.

New Pranayama Patanjali construction
If you've been paying attention you'll already know about this - the Nexus, Pranayama Portal and Trip Whale have already had the treatment.
Looking sideways into the board, the Pranayama construction has changed from this sandwich:
- Applewood veneer
- Triaxial fibreglass
- Maple veneer x6 core
- Triaxial fibreglass
- Applewood veneer
To this one:
- Pre-preg fibreglass shell
- Triaxial fibreglass
- Maple veneer x6 core
- Trixial fibreglass
- Pre-preg fibreglass shell
Essentially the ~0.6mm wooden veneer topsheets have been replaced with a pre-pregnated fibreglass shell resulting in stiffer and stronger boards without adding any weight.
It also means that the above construction is now referred to as the "Heavy" construction, and the "Light" version gets away with only 5 plies of maple in the core.
The old version - still available with the Gas Guzzler and Cosmic Turtle graphics - sits somewhere in between, but closer to the Heavy version than the Light. Whether they'll also get updated remains to be seen - but right now we're living in the sweet spot with all three flex variants available.

Further customisation and testing possibilities
Reminder that in two weeks time the Castle Combe racetrack is open for longboard traffic!
Grab a ticket and join in - there will be plenty of Pantheon boards (and even wilder options) around and jumping on one will answer questions a lot quicker than scouring the internet ever could.
The Bristol Board Meeting returns four weeks later on the 12th September - always an opportunity to try out some different stuff, but mostly to meet different people and I am buzzing to meet old and new friends alike.
And customisation? Well, the much talked-about RipTide Plug Canon bushings have finally made it across the pond. Finally, an aftermarket bushing option perfect for Pantheon Stylus, cast Valkyries and the Bear Grizzly Gen 6.
We should have them live sometime next week.
But now it's the weekend and the admin can wait until Monday,

It's hard to capture the fibreglass shell with a photo...
...luckily for all of us, Rich is very good at it.
