New: Carver 2025 and a Vandem video...

I'm almost through them...

But not quite!

The Carver 2025 lineup is on our website - or at least the most important half of it is!

Along with the product release, we have also filmed something because:

  • All the Carver boards are available with either C7 or CX trucks
  • We get asked all the time which is best

And so please enjoy my awkwardness as I take on the million dollar question: Which surfskate trucks should I get?

We're breaking it down a little further than your average take.

There is no quick and easy answer - "If you surf you need this truck" just doesn't exist.

Instead we lay out the design concept behind the trucks, overlay our own experience and find that it doesn't all fit together as perfectly as you might expect.

Throw in years of riding and retail experience and we get a wider perspective, which I've tried to distil into as few minutes as possible in this video.

But what about those new Carvers?

I'm working on the other half of the 2025 drop as we speak.

But for now we have the boards online that we liked best - boards that offer something unique in how they'll ride.

Take the 29" Surfrider for example:

So sick!

Super old school style - at only 7.75" wide its definitely the narrowest sufskate available by some margin. They even hand-milled down the C5 trucks to 4" to fit under there.

And how would you ride that thing? Well, however you like but I would point you towards 08:45 in this video for a solid reference point on where you could take it:

You don't have to turn it upside down. The point is - there are no boundaries. Pro skaters loving doing tricks that are quite literally "turning right" shows exactly how much fun you can have with the right board and the right mindset!

The other juicy additions to the lineup are the Lost x Carver boards, which unlike any other surfskate we've come across feature a tasty rocker profile:

It locks you in on another level and I'm surprised we don't see it more often. Plenty of longboards have it, very few surfskates.

Available in a more stubby 30.5" Puddle Jumper and a more relaxed 32" Quiver Killer.

And with that, I'll leave you to get prepped for the weekend.

May the sun shine on your asphalt,
Matt @ Vandem

Whilst it may not be a true Quiver Killer on land, it certainly is a sick addition to the quiver thanks to the rarely seen rocker profile.

The Surfrider might be my favourite addition to the Carver lineup of all time. Yep.
