RipTide APS Waterborne Surf Adaptor Bushing

Bushings are designed to squish, and a system that turns more therefore squishes them more. So take the Waterborne Surf Adaptor, one of the turniest platforms out there, and naturally the bushing in the front is going to be taking a hammering. That's why RipTide have stepped in (again) with the RipTide APS Waterborne Surf Adaptor bushings - not only to keep you turning, but to surpass the feeling of the original.

Waterborne Surf Adaptor stock bushings are 95A in durometer and we have stock of RipTide's upgrades in 90A, 92.5A and 95A.

These things are so turny anyway that in our tests we found that going softer isn't really necessary, even for very light riders. But they do exist down to 87.5A - shoot us a message if you're trying to get your hands on them and we should be able to help.

In general if you got on with the stock bushing then go for the RipTide 95A. Although it is the same durometer you will steel feel a marked difference from the stock bushing - the bushing has more rebound which can make it feel a little softer in that it lets you get away with deeper turns, but it does so without adding any sketchiness that a too-soft bushing might usually.

If you're a lighter rider or were hoping to squeeze yet more turn out of your setup, go for the 92.5A bushing. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how much more flow you can draw out of your turns than before.

90A is really reserved for younger riders with very little weight, but who am I to tell you not to give it a go if you really want more lean? 

Waterborne adaptors do put a lot of stress on bushings so you will need a fresh set periodically. Do yourself a favour and grab the RipTide version - thank us later :)
