Just like the Cantellated Tesseract back in the day, Loaded have given the downhill and freeride community a very special, shiny nod by releasing a special limited edition version of the Tesseract 2 - The SnubNose Tesseract 2.
Because all of those juicy features packed into the Tesseract work seriously well for a freeride/downhill setup but not everybody wants the symmetrical brick shape with the nose kick.
Pressed in the same Supernova mould - designed specifically for the Tesseract 2 - but with some added features to fine tune it for faster slides and bigger smiles:
- Extra width - The SnubNose is 9.8" wide vs the regular Tesseract 2 at 9.6" for extra leverage over the trucks and connection with the griptape
- More pronounced rear kicktail for yet more pop
- Stiffer, stronger construction with a basalt composite bottom layer to keep it stiff enough for maximum control, whilst still allowing a gentle damping so that you don't feel every tiny imperfection in the road surface
- 50-grit griptape as standard - more coarse than the regular version for extra grip
- Freshly machined wheelwells to allow for some good diameter under there to keep you rolling forever :)
All the rest of the good stuff from the Tesseract 2 stays: ergonomics not felt in many other brands in the world, epic foil graphics, adjustable wheelbase, the list goes on.
The graphic is also UV sensitive and changes colour in the sun - though it's worth adding now that in our experience, UV sensitive graphics do not hold their reactivity forever, and this fading over time will not bag you a replacement deck from Loaded. But it's cool as hell while it lasts.
Comes with a XXX/250 stamped in the bottom so you know exactly which piece of history is yours.
Loaded aren't as big in the downhill world as they are in the dancing and freestyle one, but over the years they've worked with enough world class riders through Orangatang wheels that they know exactly what they're doing. A new downhill/freeride shape from them always makes a splash. The SnubNose Tesseract 2 is no different and we're stoked to have it available at Vandem as a deck and multiple complete options.

Supernova Curvatures. Our Supernova mould (introduced with the Tesseract II) is a game changer for intuitive ergonomics and responsive pop. From big ollies to bluntslides, the tail provides precise leverage to defy gravity and hit unseen angles. A subtle “W” dip in the centre, tub concave, and micro-drop ergonomically cradle your feet, making the board an extension of your body.
Gravity Focused Adaptations. Building on the iterative collaboration that shaped the Tesseract II, the SnubNose was conceived as a more focused tool for downhill and freeride. We added width where it matters to maximize stability and control at speed and removed the front kicktail to reduce weight and streamline the deck for gravity-driven riding.
Basalt Fibre Composite Design. Built with six plies of maple, triaxial fiberglass, and a volcanic basalt bottom layer, the SnubNose delivers stiffness ideal for controlled downhill and freeride. Basalt offers a strength-to-weight ratio close to carbon fibre and is stiffer and stronger than fiberglass, providing reinforced stability with a smoother, more naturally damped ride than full carbon. As a 100% natural, recyclable material, basalt brings high performance with a lighter environmental footprint—paired with bio-based Entropy epoxy and machined wheel wells for a confident, composed feel at speed.
