The kids are alright... and thus deserve a surfskate that suits them. Step in the new Carver Mini Series with the 28" Bluefin!
28" is the largest of the Mini Series...but it's still small! Carver aren't actually calling this one a kids board and it comes with the standard skateboard construction of 7-ply maple, rather than the lighter, flexier 6 of the smaller boards.
It does still work great for kids age 10+ but is equally super fun for adults. It's a short deck but doesn't skimp on width at 9.625". It encourages that smaller up-front stance of days gone by which is really playful - once you find the rhythm you'll be standing like that on any board, any time you're cruising.
Carver C5 trucks: The C5 feels very similar to the CX - the most popular surfskate truck system out there - but has a lower ride height. Always a good thing for stability and ease of pushing, it's makes even more difference for people with little legs. The C5 truck will be much more manageable for kids, and the lower ride height also makes it much easier for those wanting to learn some skate tricks along the way, be it the basics, ollies or kickflips and beyond.
65mm wheels: The sweet spot for a low ride height whilst still having a good amount of rollover. The rounded lips mean these will slide nicely if you push them!
The largest of the Carver Mini Series, this one would last anyone well into adulthood. Be it for carving cutbacks in the carpark, adrenaline pumping at the pumptrack or simply a beachfront cruise, you'll be well taken care of with the 28" Bluefin. Solid piece of kit.
