Carver 26" Quasar C5 Surfskate

The kids are alright... and thus deserve a surfskate that suits them. Step in the new Carver Mini Series with the 26" Quasar!

 26" is small. Carver themselves recommend this size for little shredders-to-be aged 5-9. But what makes it so suitable for the young guns?

Carver C5 trucks: The C5 feels similar to the CX - the most popular surfskate truck system out there - but has a lower ride height. Always a good thing for stability and ease of pushing, it's makes even more difference for people with little legs. The C5 truck will be much more manageable for kids, and the lower ride height also makes it much easier for those wanting to learn some skate tricks along the way, be it the basics, ollies or kickflips and beyond.

Hollow kingpins and axles further lower the weight of the trucks to make it a pleasure for kids to skate around.

6-ply construction: This 26" board is pressed with only 6 plies of Canadian maple - one less than your usual skateboard or surfskate. This lowers the weight of the thing still further and introduces a gentle flex for kids - super comfortable and means you don't rattle your feet off on rougher stretches of tarmac!

65mm wheels: Not too big and not too small - a nice compromise that keeps the ride height low, whilst still rolling smoothly and for a long time for minimal input.

Bright graphics: Ok, I'm (technically) an adult and I really like the graphics too... Though with a name like Quasar I do have connotations of shooting laser guns round some kind of labyrinth situation opposite the bowling alley. Perhaps they missed a trick there.

This is the smallest surfskate (and actually smallest skateboard!) in our whole shop, but thanks to the nice width (9.625") still has years of life in it as the kids grow older.

All in all it's an awesome product, thoroughly designed with small humans in mind. You can't really go wrong.
