A step up from the cheaper Bones "Reds," the Bones "Super Reds" are an updated version, well worth the extra pennies if you have them.

Bones Super Reds are basically the same thing as Bones Reds, but use a harder grade of steel for the balls and races, finished to tighter tolerances. They also come with a black shield rather than a red one so you can tell them apart. They're made in China like all other bearings in Bones "Reds" series, and they have "Bones Super Reds" laser-etched into the outer race.

The result is claimed by Bones to be quieter, smoother and longer lasting. Bones Super Reds have a black shield so you can tel them apart at a glance from the original.

Like all Bones Bearings, Bones Super Reds don't have an ABEC rating. Bones are well aware that ABEC ratings are not really useful for describing skateboard bearings - so rather than fob you off with some junk marketing, they are simply "Skate Rated" instead. They're pre-lubed with Bones Speed Cream - a specially designed lubricant for skateboard bearings.

Bones Super Reds have a single standard rubber shield, striking a good balance between fast roll speed, easy cleaning and decent protection against dirt and moisture.

They come packaged with a sticker and a nice printed note telling you how great your new bearings are.
