This Sunday 11th October Danielle is back with the Soulful Skate Co Winter Longboard Festival in Bristol, and we're honoured to be a small part of it.

As well as a whole host of product and demo boards, Jogden himself will be there representing Vandem at the Board Maintenance table. You are in safe hands.

Look out for big hair and an even bigger smile - that's your man for any hardware questions: squeaky trucks, crusty bearings, bushing setups, general tips and beyond.

Of course, that's not all that's happening...

Alongside the open skate area (featuring the classic Vandem Hippy Jump - Sonia went 90cm on her first day but no pressure...) there are a whole host of workshops and activities available throughout the day:

• Kids sessions
• Beginner sessions
• Learn to drop in
• Surfskate slidin'
• Dance & Freestyle
• Yoga/mobility for skaters
• Creative corner to re-graphic your board or griptape
• Balance boards
• Food, drink & loos on site

But as great as all that sounds, the real win is that it's inside, it's fun and it's full of like-minded folk like my spirit animal here:

So grab a ticket and get yourself down to Bristol on Sunday.

In other shop news, we are reaching once again a quieter time of year which always brings a mixture of relief and anxiety for us here.

We'll therefore be keeping the shop closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays from here on out - our website and Google have been updated, and optional paid for next-day shipping has also been removed from our site.

We'll still ship it on a next day service... we just might not be in shipping it on that day, so we won't be charging.

Now onwards! To the weekend,
Matt @ Vandem

This thing is as inclusive as it gets - join in no matter your age, ability, confidence level, number of dependents (or number of parents), or type of skate craft.

Sit back, enjoy the ride and let Danielle be your maestro.
She's really good at this!
