We can't take the credit for this one.
That actually goes to Jamie who popped into the shop last week.
He worked out that - counterintuitively - a Carver truck is best purchased in parts.
In buying the parts separately, a single Carver truck is:
- Actually available (usually you can only get a set of two)
- Cheaper, and
- You get to choose your preferred bushings from the get go
So carrying on last week's theme of saving you money, we went ahead and ordered the parts.
And then we took it a step further and assembled them to save you the hassle, and here it is - a Carver truck for only £40.
As you can see from the image, there are caveats!
- Bushings are not included. So depending on which you choose, the truck is actually £45-50. But you're still saving 25% relative to buying a truckset and replacement bushings on top.
- We've had to use our own washers and nuts to complete the truck. They are black and don't say "Carver" on them.
- And finally, the baseplates we had delivered so far did show light signs of being assembled as completes at some point in their life - see for yourself:
Whether the colour of your washers is a deal-breaker, I'll leave up to you.
But for the first time ever, single Carver trucks are available to purchase - and it's the cheapest way to buy them.
An awesome opportunity for anyone who bought a C7 and now wants to try the CX - no need to drop £110 and have a spare back truck left over.
