Vandem is the Way to Go - Avoid Skatehut
OK so I ordered a Loaded Ballona from Skatehut for my son’s birthday. After paying, my order fell into a black hole of zero communication — just an automated email telling me to wait 72 hours. No phone support, and every follow-up email reset the 72-hour clock. Two weeks later: no board, no update, £200 gone, and a very disappointed kid. Incredibly frustrating.Then I found Vandem — total game changer. Super friendly, easy to contact, and incredibly knowledgeable & honest. They answered right away via phone and WhatsApp, had direct links to Loaded distributors, and shipped a complete board fast. Couldn't recommend them more. Now my Son is super happy he got his Loaded Ballona in the graphic he wanted with the wheels & trucks he wanted within 3 days that's faster than they promised. It was packed perfectly. Lush Dagyr Shaped Skateboard
A fully awesome radical retro old skool pool shape from Lush Longboards. This deck is a real shop favourite and one of the boards we skate the most ourselves. We use it a lot for aggressive park skating, pump track slaying and - with softer wheels - as a general all round cruiser.
The wider outline and retro-inspired shape combines really nicely with the mellow concave to make it super comfy while still offering plenty of control when needed. We think the Dagyr is an ideal choice for any skater looking to get fully rad shredding pools, parks and bowl, hacking it around a pump track or just chilling while cruising. The graphic is killer too which as you know is the most important part of any skateboard. Frankly if you don't dig this board what the hell is wrong with you!!! At 31.25x9.25" it's bigger than most other skateboards and mini cruisers out there, and the old-skool eighties shape is super functional and comfortable for all kinds of skateboarding.
Proper mellow old skool concave for that legit retro feeling.
Fat wide tail and shovel nose.. .because you know... skinny decks suck right and the 80's were awesome 😜
Adjustable wheelbase.
Great for pools, parks, bowls, pumptracks as well as being a great base for a cruiser setup. The Dagyr is a great do-everything skateboard with a bit of retro flair.

Is the Elite setup worth the extra £0?
For only an extra £0, you can upgrade the "Pro" setup to the "Elite" Level build.
The Elite setup is a pretty heavy wheel and bearing upgrade over the Pro.
You get Lush Longboards Easy Rider Bearings - fully shielded, easy to clean, with built in bearing spacers. They roll faster and last longer than the Pro level metal shielded ABEC5 bearings.
The Elite complete also includes , poured from a higher grade urethane. Premium urethane rolls fater, lasts longer, and generally injects a whole new level of life into the board - once you've skated decent wheels, you won't want anything else!
Less obvious is the wheel upgrade. Your extra £0 gets you a set of over the Pro build's Cult Zero. Apart from the obvious size difference, the are poured from a higher grade of urethane - an invisible difference that you will immediately notice as soon as you push the board off.
Just like the bearings, the wheel upgrade makes your board roll faster and last longer - what's not to like??
If you look at the SRP difference of these components and add them together you'll see that the upgrade from Pro to Elite represents serious value - trust us, it's well worth it.
Coupled with this, we've noticed that almost everyone who makes it into our shop ends up with an Elite setup - the value is clear once you have the board in your hands!

Some other things to consider...
- If in doubt - go softer! Turnier boards are easier to balance on, and a lot more fun to skate.
- If you are "between hardnesses," we would recommend the softer option. So for example, for a 73kg rider, "Soft" rather than "Stock Setup" might be a better choice. Get in touch if you're not sure!
- if you want a very turny board - say for a dancing longboard - then it's worth going one stop softer than you otherwise would do. Watch out for wheelbite though!
- Likewise, if you want a board for downhill speed, then go up a step harder than the weight table suggests.
- You do have a bit of adjustment in the truck's kingpin nut, but we would suggest that if you have more than two threads showing then it's time to go to a harder bushing.
