I'm a big fan of Vandem Longboards as they are probably one of the best businesses I've ever dealt with regarding customer service etc. I used to skate loads ("normal boards") through my teenage years and now in my early 30's I really wanted to get back on a board but not necessarily throwing myself down sets of stairs or rails anymore and finding myself in A&E like I used to do every once in a while! During the first lockdown I thought it was the perfect time to get back into it but didn't know the first thing about longboards. I used the WhatsApp link to contact Vandem which is super easy asking advice on boards, within minutes I got back loads of information and was told to give them a call anytime if I needed more. I ended up purchasing a Lush Freebyrd Lo-Pro elite on their recommendation and I couldn't have been more pleased with the build as it's a quality build that's great to skate. I have used it every other day since and love it and have since gone on to purchase the Lush slide gloves they exchanged no problem when I needed a slightly bigger size. I've become slightly obsessed with longboarding now and already eyeing up a couple of different boards I would like to add to my collection shortly. My two young kids also like skating so no doubt will need boards of their own in the future and I wouldn't go anywhere else for my skating needs! Vandems website and Facebook page is amazing with loads of advice and info and loads of cool updates! Lastly they are a cool independent business with a great ethos about reducing their environmental impact and nothing comes packaged with any plastic etc. Vandem are the guys to go with as you'll always get unbeatable customer service and great quality products. 👍
Loaded Omakase Deck
Awesome little shred sled......
The Omakase is the deck Loaded Originally created for the Unlimited e-skate system. However on it's own without the electric longboard gubbins it actually make for a rad little shredder. Short, fat, wide, and stable yet nimble. This little package has it all going on. Great for commuting, cruising, light freeriding and can even handle a bit of skatepark action. Being a Loaded board it is of course beautify finished and built to last too.
Compact deck length combined with a wide outline combined with a long wheelbase.
Two wheelbase options allowing you to run either reverse kingpin trucks (RKP's) like the Sabre Standard or traditional kingpin trucks (TKP's) like Indys
Full and generous kicktail generating maximum pop for ollies, control for surf style slashes and control for hybrid freestyle tricks.
Regular grip and a mild concave with rocker meet to make for a more comfortable cruising platform while still giving you control.
Trademark wheel flares give great positional feedback so you know exactly where you are on your board. They also give more wheel clearance whihc helps to avoid the dreaded wheelbite!
Constructed using the renowned Loaded attention to detail and quality. A three layer lightweight Bamboo core is securely pressed between two epoxy soaked fibreglass layers to make a super strong deck that is feather light and responsive.
Graphics are applied to the bottom veneer. The Roe using classy lighter rose wood with minimal graphic. The Palm is a fuller graphic but still highlights the beautiful black Walnut finish.
The top of the board features a die cut grip showing off the classic laser etched Loaded logo on their trademark Bamboo.

Loaded Omakase Deck Reviews
Fantastic communication and service really impressed.
Excellent wide deck. Love the concave, perfect with a surf adapter. Beautiful graphic, Loaded certainly know how to make pretty boards. First class service as usual from Vandem.
A joy to ride and great it's to experience a different type of deck from my longer longboard. Stable and responsive, it also gives me a lot more confidence going a bit faster down small hills. It's also a lot easier to carry being lighter and smaller!
This board is so fun to skate freeride! You have to carve this thing, it is amazing!
I was looking for a fun little cruiser to add to my stable. Adam was extremely helpful in helping me narrow down my choice to the Omakase. Set up with Paris V3's and Orangatang In heat 77a's (rip n grip set up as recommended by Loaded themselves), this deck is awesome. Super comfy, concave and wheel flairs locking your rear foot into the perfect spot. Front wheel flares giving you reference for your front foot, this thing flies and is loads of fun. Not used to to cover any real distance, just for a bit of playing around on streets and car parks. Recapturing my youth! If you want a fast, fun set up that's bigger and more comfy than a traditional street deck, this is it. As always, service from Adam was first rate
