The Loaded Bolsa II is a super sexy XL skateboard-come-surfskate that really stands out in the surfskate world thanks to the ergonomic features that we've grown to know and love from Loaded Longboards.
This is the C7 version, with Carver C7 trucks on it. There is also a CX version with CX trucks - check out our guide on C7 vs CX if you aren't sure which is right for you.
At 34" long its on the larger size for a surfskate - but don't forget its got a full nose which is some of that length. The wheelbase is more standard at 16 - 17.5" which means this thing can whip cutbacks in a carpark space whilst also being able to hold some speed (for a surfskate) and flow.
The platform offers more than a regular surfskate too. For example, gentle rocker running between the wheels that works with the concave to provide a cuddle for your feet from all directions. Super comfy and functional. Once you've tried a board with rocker, its hard to go back!
Mellow wheel arches act as yet more comfort and hold in harder carves, so you always know your feet are right in the pocket. It also has wheel wells which together with the arches means you can run much bigger wheels on this than you could on most other surfskates - though being as it comes with Orangatangs as standard, it's already a lot smoother than those other surfskates!
And that is really the clincher with the Loaded Bolsa and Bolsa II - thanks to upgraded wheels and bushings out of the box, they simply feel smoother, more agile, more lively straight out the box. We've sold countless sets of Cult Invaders and Orangatang Love Handles to surfskaters looking to upgrade their ride - no need with this board!
Do be aware we have heard some people not enjoy the wheel arches, if they have deemed them in the wrong spot for their feet. At Vandem we think they're great, especially on a surfskate where a bit of extra grip under the front foot can make so much positive difference, but if you're extremely particular about foot placement, it might be worth having a stand on one of these before purchasing.
The Loaded Bolsa II builds on the strong foundations of the Bolsa and brings yet more functionality into 34" than most of us know what do with. Recommended.
From Loaded themselves:
The Bolsa II offers a balance of performance and versatility, featuring a refined shape designed to work with Carver CX and C7 surfskate truck setups.
Its generous width, subtle rocker, and mellow concave provide a comfortable, stable ride. Functional kicktails offer power, control, and a locked-in-the-pocket feel for energetic pumping and slashing. Mellow wheel flares provide reference points for your feet along with ample wheel clearance, which is further enhanced by milled wheel wells.
It's right for you if:
- You’re a surfskate enthusiast who wants high-performance carving and pumping. You’re looking for a board with secure ergonomics and stability for deep carves, and you want smooth, flowy trucks with premium wheels and bushings.
- CX setup: You’re looking for very snappy turns and to replicate the quick response you feel as you pump a surfboard. You want to pump this truck but still have the capability to land aerial maneuvers and ride fakie with more stability.
- C7 setup: You want the fluid, lateral sway you feel surfing as you pump. You’re looking for the smoothest turning, fastest pumping surfskate truck that has a striking similarity to short-board surfing.
