Loaded Basalt Tesseract Freeride Deck

So far so good, this board is the right length, right stiffness and right concave for me. Brilliant for freeride and Dance. My board came literally within a day or two packaged like a tank, couldn't be happier with the service. Stay cool and rip some hills

my humble 10y riding experience was on sector9 and longisland decks. basalt tesseract gave me a next level of ride.

When I was looking to build my new setup I wanted a deck that could do a bit of everything; 1) Ride some hills (not crazy fast!) and break into slides here and there, 2) Have a symmetrical shape to help when riding switch, 3) Have some subtle kicktails to dabble in some basic manuals/shove-its/boneless etc. I find that tails are a must to help drop off curbs and pivot tightly for slow 90 degree corners when in tighter spaces, 4) Be long enough to try a bit of dancing every now and then. This deck is perfect for all that! The contours/concave keep your feet locked in when your going faster down hills and the grip tape is pretty coarse for extra grip (probably not ideal if you want to pop ollies and kickflips a lot). I haven't played around with wheelbase options yet, but I'd imagine the shorter option would help if you wanted to do more tricks, to give more of a kicktail to pop. It's a pretty light deck too which helps if you ever need to carry it about. I've not experienced any wheel bite with 69mm wheels, ParisV3 (no riser) due to the nice wheel flares (which also act as nice contours to lock your feet into). I can't say enough good things about this deck - highly recommend for pretty much any style of riding. Next day delivery from Vandem, well packaged (all recyclable!). Amazing board and very versatile.Cant believe how light it is and with the eco conscious no carbon fibre.comes with a rough sticky grip tape with a logo cut out showing the basalt layer......always order from Vandem and will continue to do so.cheers guys
