Landyachtz Katana Freeride Longboard Deck

Back to the future! The Landyachtz Katana, designed with team rider So Tanaka is a symmetrical freeride board with all the bells and whistles designed for solid speeds and big slides.

So Tanaka goes extremely hard. You don't have to do that to enjoy this board. But if you want to, he will be stoked...

It's a classic stiff symmetrical ergonomic freeride machine, harking back to legendary shapes such as the Hackbrett Tripper, Arbor Vugenhausen and Landyachtz Top Speed.

CNC'ed flush mounts and massive wheelwells mean you know exactly where you stand - at 0° wedge, and as little risk of wheelbite as possible.

Wheelbase options from 20.5" to 21.5" will complement your choice of trucks - the symmetrical shape is asking for a symmetrical truck setup, but a split angle setup would absolutely go if you wanted it to. Just make sure to check - via the sweet little die cut griptape details - that you're jumping on it the right way round!

Landyachtz are building it into a complete with 155mm Bear Grizzly trucks and 63mm 83A EZ Slide Hawgs.

34" in length and 9" wide will work for a ride range of stances and the concave is actually fairly mellow. In the past this type of board often had super steep concave and aggressive wheel arches which - whilst they did do something to lock you in - were also largely unnecessary if you have good technique, and uncomfortable regardless.

The Katana has learned from that and has a comfy concave that does more than enough to keep your feet in place without looking and feeling weird. Gentle wheel flares act as a datum for your toes in particular, so you know you're pushing in the right spot without having to look down at your feet before throwing a slide.
