Some other things to consider...
- If in doubt - go softer! Turnier boards are easier to balance on, and a lot more fun to skate.
- If you are "between hardnesses," we would recommend the softer option. So for example, for a 73kg rider, "Soft" rather than "Stock Setup" might be a better choice. Get in touch if you're not sure!
- if you want a very turny board - say for a dancing longboard - then it's worth going one stop softer than you otherwise would do. Watch out for wheelbite though!
- Likewise, if you want a board for downhill speed, then go up a step harder than the weight table suggests.
- You do have a bit of adjustment in the truck's kingpin nut, but we would suggest that if you have more than two threads showing then it's time to go to a harder bushing.

I bought this board along with a dingy purely because I’ve never tried this design before. It’s lower to the ground than I’m used to (so having to adjust the foot-breaking height at first was a surprise!), but is an absolute JOY to cruise around on. It's got a really smooth carve, plus I love the design. It’s sturdy underfoot and very fluid with your movements. The Vandem team were really great with the order and kept me in the know, plus they left me a kind message on my invoice - it’s the little touches that makes a big difference! The information on their website is brilliant too if you haven’t checked it out. I’m thoroughly impressed from the whole experience; I’ll be shopping there again to try out other types of longboards for sure!

Was happy to find a Landyachtz seller in the UK to save postage cost, and the Vandem website was very informative for a first time longboarder. My first longboard, never been into skating but I'm a decent snowboarder. I'm absolutely loving this so far, you can get your snowboarding fix all year around. It picks up speed easily even on gentle slopes - make sure you know how to run off so you don't get yourself into too much trouble if you are just starting out. So far I've been taking it easy whilst I learn the basics properly (like braking!). It's nearly effortless on the flats though and is really run just cruising around. Any Snowboarding experience will pay off, it's a lot of the similar techniques & balance.
