The Hawgs Cheetahs - very big, very fast and very grippy!
Unique in their dual duro construction - rather than a large plastic core, Hawgs have bonded two urethanes together. A harder one in the middle (in this case 85A) and a softer outer tyre in 76A.
No other wheel company has tried this and it took a couple of years of testing to get it right. The inner (harder) urethane is softer than a plastic core, but is also much bigger and supports the lip all the way to the maximum width which at 71mm is the widest wheel in our shop.
That support throughout the wheel means amazing rebound (the soft outer urethane isn't squishing so much it slows you down) and very even wear patterns as there is no unsupported soft urethane like any other wheel out there.
The outer softer urethane provides fantastic and consistent grip levels, whilst the support also means that in slides they are consistent and predictable.
We've come a long way since the days of honking, chunking Centrax and Hawgs led the charge for a lot of that - in 2012 the Biggy Hawgs were (to my mind) the first 70mm wide wheel that actually slid nicely! They got even better (mmm that grey 76A) when they added a bigger core, and these Cheetah Hawgs - whilst they've been worked on for 2 years - are actually the result of over a decade of downhill shenanigans serious research and development.
A downhill race wheel through and through... but don't let that label stop you. They're big, they're plush, they're fast and they last. As long as the size fits under your deck, these are an amazing choice and almost unparalleled in how good they feel, and sound, whilst cruising along.
All wheels sold in packs of four.
