Carver Roundhouse Concave 69mm 78A Surfskate Wheels

Carver don't only make trucks! These Roundhouse Concave wheels come on a whole host of their completes and are just right for most surfskate applications.

At 69mm they're big enough to roll smooth over most asphalt - certainly all asphalt that you'd deem suitable for a surfskate session - yet small enough to not give instant wheelbite thanks to the turny turny trucks.

78A is nice and soft and grippy, just what you need to pump up some speed.

The unique point on these wheels is their concave profile - the running surface of the wheel has slightly more diameter at the lips, and less in the middle. That means that when your weight is on it, it squashes down even further to offer more grip than a wheel of that size usually would.

The only disadvantage of this is that, without a big core supporting the big lips, if you do slide a lot the wheels will become "trumpeted" and that thin outer lip can catch during slides and cause a sudden unexpected dismount.
