A juicy Carver collabo with ...Lost surfboards and Matt "Mayhem" Biolos, the Lost Hydra is a surfskate that oozes new-school style in every way - from its shape (that tail!) and graphics to the frontside air reverses you'll be ripping out at the skatepark on this thing!
A classic fish outline blended with a progressive swallowtail, originally designed to keep you surfing when other boards won't cut it. So in this case - you'll be the last one out there in the drizzly British car park, still having fun after everyone else has called it a day!
What makes this one really stand out from the majority of surfskates out there is the lovely rockered deck.
Just like your concave is surrounding your feet, toe to heel, the rocker adds an extra dimension of comfort and confidence in your foot positioning. Like a hug for your feet.
And on a surfskate where you're putting so much force through them as you build speed and make turns, it feels just awesome to have that extra feedback and to know that your front foot especially is in the right spot to crank the trucks over - just like they're designed to be.
This one's pretty small at 29", and that compact size makes it a great option for smaller skaters or those looking for a board to stow under a desk or in a rucksack. Not to mention being able to throw super tight carves and draw speed out of turns even as they go over 180 degrees!
This ones got CX trucks on which will offer a little more resistance to your pressure on the rail than the Lost Hydra C7 which is also available. If you aren't sure which would suit you best, you might want to start with this guide/video on choosing between C7 and CX trucks.
This one is pure surf good vibes - and you don't have to wait for the wind to go offshore to get the most out of it.
