Hackbrett Schnelle Medium Freeride Longboard
A directional downhill board, the Hackbrett "Das Schnelle" takes care of your downhill needs without compromise. In addition to the original 3D standing platform, we added a classic outline with sexy wingers that the front wheel flares and drop fit perfectly around.
This is the new "Medium" version - slightly shorter and narrower than the large, for skaters with smaller feet and those looking for more turn. Hackbrett are constantly tweaking their shapes in response to rider feedback - last year the team wanted this board a little bit smaller in all dimensions, and this is what they got!
Das Schnelle includes state of the art shape design with every imaginable feature. Rocker, drop, wheel flares, pockets, W-concave, toewrapper concave, gas pedals, kicktail, wheelwells, flushcuts and three different construction options. On request we can change the flex and outline further to your criteria.
The first thing that you realise on this board, is how your feet are stuck to it. They automatically find the right position. For teamrider Jakob Raab, it was "like coming home" when he first stood on his Schnelle. Downhill, the board glides silently and precisely through light sweepers. It reacts instantly to pressure on the rail. It is primarily a piece of downhill sport equipment and a freeride machine ready for the highest of demands. Beginners should take it easy to get used to the responsiveness of this board.

Well well... I see you are one with fine taste. The Hackbrett Schnelle Precision complete is a longboard like few others. This level of design, rider input, engineering and love put into each and every single component, you just don't see that. This isn't a factory build by any stretch of the imagination. This is the creme de la creme, the real deal. This thing will hug your feet as you take your first steps into the world of sliding, and even while you cruise to the spot. The Schnelle Elite complete is a premium cruising, carving and speedy setup! It'll roll fast and forever and grip like nothing else in corners. A real pleasure to take down hill fast but equally comfortable on the bike path, chewing up the miles on its comfy platform, carving to its (and your) hearts content. Hackbrett Schnelle Medium Freeride Longboard: Pro Complete Spec
The Schnelle Pro comes in slightly cheaper than the Elite version and has more of a focus on smooth and juicy slides than pure speed. That's not to say it won't roll along at a good pace, but the Emperor wheels are more forgiving when it comes to going sideways as opposed to full steam ahead. Is the Elite setup worth the extra £15?
For only an extra £15, you can upgrade the "Pro" setup to the "Elite" Level build.
The Elite setup is a pretty heavy wheel and bearing upgrade over the Pro.
You get Sabre Built-In Labyrinth Bearings - fully shielded, easy to clean, with built in bearing spacers. They roll faster and last longer than the Pro level metal shielded ABEC5 bearings.
The Elite complete also includes Cult Cultron 74mm Longboard Wheels White, poured from a higher grade urethane. Premium urethane rolls fater, lasts longer, and generally injects a whole new level of life into the board - once you've skated decent wheels, you won't want anything else!
Less obvious is the wheel upgrade. Your extra £15 gets you a set of Cult Cultron over the Pro build's Cult Emperor. Apart from the obvious size difference, the Cult Cultron are poured from a higher grade of urethane - an invisible difference that you will immediately notice as soon as you push the board off.
Just like the bearings, the wheel upgrade makes your board roll faster and last longer - what's not to like??
If you look at the SRP difference of these components and add them together you'll see that the upgrade from Pro to Elite represents serious value - trust us, it's well worth it.
Coupled with this, we've noticed that almost everyone who makes it into our shop ends up with an Elite setup - the value is clear once you have the board in your hands!
How about the Precision build?
If you're ready to skate the best setup out there the best of the best, step it up to the Precison Build!
For an extra £115, you get the same wheels and bearings as the Elite build, but with a set of Sabre Trucks Forged Precisions.
Given that a set of these trucks would normally set you back £180, that's a serious value for a serious setup!
