Landyachtz -

The Wolf of Sharkstreet

The plan was simple.

We got the new Venom Magnums in today.

Mission: Book 'em in, take photos, write email, go skate.

Then in walks local ripper Izac:

And what were we supposed to do, tell him no?

So you'll have to wait another week or two for the full update on those. But yes, they are sick, and yes, we can get them. Hit me up if you need a set.

In the meantime I'm looking round the shop for an newsletter idea, and quick...

My eye settles on one board in particular.

Good memories flood in.

I was personally inspired by this board under the control of Mr Landyachtz Europe, Felix (main image, above).

Worldwide, thousands of kids joined "Longboard Space Edits" groups on Facebook to have people photoshop their skate snaps into various galaxies.

And in a wider sense of board design, the Wolfshark represented a solid shift towards the grip and corner speed advantage of topmounts vs dropped decks in high level racing.

It was 2011 and times have since changed - and Landyachtz have moved the Wolfshark on with them.

They've done away with the "gas pedals". Once revolutionary, now defunct.

The whole thing is more compact - the most shocking thing about re-watching the old video (aside from a teeny tiny Wolfgang Coleman) was the 27" wheelbase of the thing!

These days you can get it right down to 21" which puts the Wolfshark in a sweet spot.

It works well with a symmetrical truck setup and is as good as any board anyone ever learned to slide on.

Or, get new school. It'll take narrower, heavily split angle trucks too for those who want to take things further, faster.

So there you have it: the Landyachtz Wolfshark, and a newsletter rescued.

Let us know if you need any help setting one up to your preferences.

And now for the final mission of the day: to go skate!
