Joining words is fun!

I know one good friend of Vandem in particular will be very pleased with the latest from Pantheon.

For privacy and continuity I shall refer to him as "Jogden". If you know, you know.

Jogden has been desperate for us to start referring to split angles as SPLANGLES. Splabres, a Splolfshark as well as general splenanigens have been discussed.

But for better or worse, Pantheon got there first with a fruity portmanteau for the Banantheon, which to be fair is a pretty fruity board in their otherwise super serious lineup.

If you read last week's newsletter then you'll already have read about the joy of improvisation on a big skateboard.

Longer term readers may also recall me singing their praises with a few classic video parts that'll make you want to skate a big board exclusively for the rest of your life!

The Banantheon fits in here perfectly - a shreddable stick with all the subtleties you'd assume from Pantheon.

9.36" x 36.75" with a 19" wheelbase, but what you don't see is the teeny microdrop that blends naturally into the kicktails that you might not even consciously feel... but you'll know it feels just right.

Unfortunately(?) our first deck sold before we could do any complete photography, so if you want a complete you'll have to reply to this email or give us a ring.

Jeff is building them up in a few ways, described as follows:

• TKP no risers ("the effortless ollie setup")
• TKP wedged risers ("the carvy cruiser setup")
• RKP ("the RKP setup")

Naturally, he's using Pantheon Stylus TKPs and Valkyrie cast RKPs and they're a great option.

I'm keen to get a Sabre TKP and Cult Chronicle version going too which should come in a little cheaper.

We're spoilt for choice of big skateboards now - one of my favourite categories.

Which makes sense really, what with me working in a longboard shop and all.
