Sparkly onesies not required...
But very much encouraged.
Some of you will remember times when seeing someone else on a longboard meant a full-blown chase through the streets to ask who they were, where they got it, and if they wanted to skate with you.
It isn't as rare these days - though I will likely still chase you down!
But how often do you skate with other people?

Skating together is fantastic. Motivation, social interaction and much-needed time away from a screen. It's also way more exciting when you find a new hill, if your friend reckons you can go from the top first try...
Skate buddies have been my closest friends, and indeed the reason I have this (a?) job.
So come along to a skate event in the UK this year - have a chinwag, find your people. You might have made friends for life.
Our flagship event is once more the Bristol Board Meeting on the 12th September:
But there's much more on offer.
Whether you want to cruise, skate a long way, dance, do tricks, play games, bomb hills, surfskate or do big slides, there'll be something for you.
These are family friendly and inclusive - there will be boards to try and tips given for those wanting them.

Bookmark our Events Page for the full list - it will be updated over time.
Hosting an event that we don't know about? Let me know. The least I can do is spread the word - and there may be more than that.
Stoked to put some more faces to names this year.
See you there,
Matt @ Vandem

Brighton has another B-Town Board Fest this year, 25-26 July, and they bring the most imagination to skate events we've seen in a good long while. Fun and games for all the family.

The longboard track day at Castle Combe is also coming back - 16th August. 6 hours to lay down as many miles as you can... or to try out loads of cool stuff and enjoy the weather!
