We've got a lot to say about this one.
The long-awaited Valkyrie Cast longboard trucks arrived today.
The short: 150mm hanger width, 50° baseplate angle. Valkyrie's unique offset bushing design.

The long: For the real meat, check out the Valkyrie Cast longboard trucks on our website where I tried to dig into the description to really let you know what's happening here.
Essentially, there are some really solid benefits to the offset bushing design, and they've also CNC finished the pivot to further enhance how smooth they'll turn, raising these a noticeable step above most other cast trucks on the market.

Designed in collaboration with Jeff at Pantheon Longboards, these are being pushed as quite the do-it-all truck.
The offset bushing design offers a firm centre for the truck to sit in, making them great for pushing distances and going really fast alike.
They'll take Caliber III pivot cups and Venom Plug barrel bushings, so we've got everything you need to customise them already in stock.

The truck design speaks for itself - the precision version has done standup slides at over 70mph!
Right now in ~150mm hanger widths, your options are:
- Paris 150mm - £56/pair
- Bear 155mm - £64/pair
- Valkyrie 150mm - £100/pair
- Sabre Forged Precision 150mm - £180/pair
And to me, the price jumps feel logical and fair - the offset bushing design and CNC pivot sets the Valkyries apart from the Paris and the Bear.
And yet the price still respects the fact that they are a cast truck that cannot compare with the strength, straightness, precision or longevity of a cold forged truck.
Split angles and further hanger widths rumoured to be on the way as soon as summer this year... being able to set these up as a 50/30 split is when the fun will really start!
We've got an even more bonkers new truck to share with you next week, stay tuned.
Don't do anything I wouldn't in the meantime,
Matt @ Vandem

The truck will do it all... almost. You probably don't want to be grinding this thing when the hanger has this extra bulge. Don't say I didn't warn you!
