Whew, over 6,000 likes. We must have sold loads of Cults that weekend, right?
Not a single set. As if my disdain for social media wasn't strong enough already, this confirmed our belief that - at least as far as sales are concerned - it is a complete waste of time.
I mean, we're running a skate shop here. Shouldn't we be hanging out, watching clips, going skateboarding?
The truth is, we do get to do that. But everything in moderation.
And as I sit queueing social posts for next week with a hot water bottle on my feet (yes really) while the rain lashes at the window I realise... it's not that bad.
Even in the clips where we aren't skating as such, I hope you can see that we have buckets of enthusiasm. We're engaged with our product range and we're invested in letting you know as much about it as possible, in a range of digestible formats.
So here's a clip about the legendary Cult Chronicles. They're not new - they weren't even new when that Instagram post got strangely popular in 2020 - but if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
They are incredible wheels under any cruiser and for those of you looking for an easy way to feel the joy of sliding... there's nothing better.
As Josh states in the video - get through a set of these and you'll be able to take on any hill you like.
And cruising down a hill with control might be some of the most fun you can have without breaking the law... though it is a grey area.
