Many online and physical shops that sell skate stuff are run by people who don't know anything about skating - they don't care about the hobby or how you're enjoying it, they just see it as a sale. Vandem is a different story. Vandem is a company run by actual skaters who are passionate about the hobby and want you to enjoy it too. When I was new to the hobby I called up and spoke to a very helpful and knowledgeable gentleman who helped me find the right board for me down to every specific part. Whenever a friend of mine says they want to get into longboarding, Vandem is the first place I tell them to look.
