Here it is... everything that makes the Powell Dragon Formula legendary, wrapped up in 56mm of Nano Cubic goodness from the mind of Andy Anderson.
The new shape has a super rounded outside lip so if anything, has only improved when thrown under a cruiser or a longboard. The slide is smoother than ever
Rumour has it, once you try these you'll never ride another street wheel again. Is it true? There's only one way to find out. And it's not Googling it.
The Dragon Formula is the result of a decade of George Powell's experiments with urethane to offer the holy grail: a soft wheel that slides like a hard wheel.
The Dragons are 93A in durometer, and will make pushing and cruising round town more comfy than any other wheel of this duro or harder out there. They open up the crustiest of spots, and unlike super soft longboard wheels will not grab the coping or the rail as you grind - they slide like the 101A wheels you're used to riding. It's hard to believe, until you try them.
If you've got a cruiser and you want a wheel that works for the skate park and around town... there was never truly a great option. There is now, and this is it.
This is the 56mm version - quite big for a pure street wheel, but then, we're a cruiser and longboard specialist so it's a rare day we skate pure street. We tend to enjoy the skate across town to the spot as much as we enjoy the spot itself. And that's where a little extra diameter comes into play. They'll cruise, they'll kickflip and your cartilage will thank you for that bit of a softer ride.
Has George Powell just killed the skateboard wheel market with these? You tell me.
All wheels sold in packs of four.
