The Pantheon Ember is not just one board, but a series of commuting solutions designed to have an answer for everyone.
All four Ember boards are pressed from the same mould and use the same construction - strong crescent drops, ergonomic concave, 25" wheelbase, long-lasting maple and fibreglass construction. Each then has a different outline cut to offer a unique take on a double-dropped board.
The Ember is designed around TKP trucks, similar to the Pranayama. However the Ember is smaller, lighter and more nimble. It's like a having a mini cruiser, that happens to be super low and easy to push.
The Ember is also 8 plies of maple vs the 9 in the Pranayama (both have fibreglass). Lighter riders may prefer the extra dampening flex of the thinner construction in the Ember.
This is the "Urban" Model is the 2nd smallest of the bunch at 33.2", featuring the fork nose of the Eco but with a small kicktail added at the back. For me, a commuting board isn't complete without one - a city commute will always push you into changes of direction and sometimes it's simply not possible to keep the flow without use of a tail.
With the composite construction the tail should last pretty well, though I wouldn't want to be trying to huck huge ollies with it - get a cruiser if that's your commuting game!
Awesome Wanderlust graphic, a tiny board still in the scheme of things with the added versatility of being able to drop off curbs and flick it up into your hands with ease. The Pantheon Ember Urban is perfectly designed and aptly named.
