Is it a longboard? Is it a surfskate? The Lush Throttle C5 setup is the best possible mix of the two.
What does that mean?
Reasons it's a longboard:
It's long - longer than your average surfskate, at 34" and 20.5" wheelbase. Is that a bad thing? Not at all.
Whilst it's not the board for whipping cutbacks in carpark spaces necessarily (though it is pretty good at that side of things too) it is a whole lot more versatile thanks to the length.
The main bonus is the added stability - fear of gentle inclines and giving it hell round the pumptrack: gone.
Out in the streets with lots of room to play with, the longer wheelbase will allow you to draw beautiful lines, linking up carving, pumping, pushing and jumping to your hearts content.
Reasons it's a surfskate:
It's got the Carver C5 truckset underneath.
They're surfskate trucks - but perhaps not quite like you imagine. They're a whole lot more polite than the wild swinging arm of the C7 trucks, more akin to the CX but taken another step further: the hanger width and the ride height are both smaller.
Lower ride height means that this board doesn't suffer from that tippy feeling on other surfskates. Pushing is less effort, braking is easier, you're more stable and (my favourite bit) you have a fully functional tail.
Reason's it's for you:
If you like the look of the Throttle but aren't interested in ever taking your board much over jogging speed: please get this surfskate edition, and thank us later.
It's a joy to ride, doing everything one hopes for from a longboard at lower speeds - super agile and turny, really fun in the car park and down the cycle path. Throw in the low ride height and functional tail and you can ollie this thing up curbs and start really throwing flair into your daily ride.
City machine, pumptrack slayer, cruising companion, call it what you will. The Throttle C5 surfskate has all the potential to be your new best friend.
