I bought my first board from these folks, at 46 years old nearly a year ago.
The service was first class. I found other places to be a tad patronising truth be told, maybe because of my age, maybe because of my ability or both.
Not here. They made me feel super stoked and gave me a ton of advice. I LOVE my board. They have never met me but somehow managed to recommend the right deck and set up for me. Like some kind of skate black magic voodoo, they just knew. I will absolutely use them again, well once I've recovered from my broken humerus! Hahaha! Don't hesitate to contact them.for advice and to purchase the best quality deck and set up going. At this point I feel like some kind of weird fan boy but they really are that good.

Very comfortable helmet, lightweight and very well fitting, it's very adjustable to make sure it fits as it should. It fits so well that I often forget that I have it on !! The service and advise from Vandem was as usual second to none. Definitely my first port of call for any boarding needs. Thanks again guys

You want a helmet for skating, just like you do for riding a bike, and you want a properly safety certified one. Yes, if you’re like me, a risk averse, old-enough-to-know-better potterer around on a board, you’ll feel like a bit of a berk wearing it, and wonder if you could get away without it, but that’ll be right before you take an embarrassing slow speed tumble where you still somehow contrive to hit your head on something. Get a helmet. This is the one Vandem sell, you can have it in black or white. The sizing is right, measure the circumference of your head at the widest part, and buy the size accordingly. In the interests of consumer advice, I’m compelled to note that if you’re just looking a helmet, and you value overall price more than the massive support to the community Vandem provide, you can probably get an equivalent helmet a couple of quid cheaper elsewhere (you can get an uncertified one much cheaper, but obviously don’t do that), but if you’ve read this far in the review, you’ve already devoted more thought to your helmet choice than I did.
