It's genuinely difficult to say how impressed we were with our first visit to Vandem. We (my young son and I) were treated with such respect, patience and warmth.
Whilst we knew very little, the advice and help was never patronizing, indeed it was almost as if we were made to feel part of the brotherhood of longboarders and welcomed into the fold! What really blew me away was that upon telephoning a day later to enquire about another board for my (other) son I was told that a certain product that I had (already) purchased was now cheaper and they insisted on crediting the difference. This was without me knowing this or asking!
I have bought huge amounts of kit over the years and this has been the best experience by far.
'Support your local (specialist) shop' has perhaps become a bit of a cliche but I now would not dream of using anyone else for what has already become a wonderful new sport for our whole family.

I've waited a few weeks since receiving this board from Vandem to post this review because I like to try things out first. I'll be honest, after 3 years riding the excellent Lush Freebyrd, I'm still getting used to this one. The deck's top mounted while the Freebyrd is drop-through and somewhat closer to the ground. What the Crosscut gives me is much more room for my size 11 feet, having both a wider and a longer deck; a longer wheelbase which gives me more stability, and it carves beautifully. It's a really smooth ride and having a nose and kicktail means I should be able to manage obstacles, such as kerbs, more easily than I could on the Freebyrd. While appearance isn't everything, it does look like a really classy, good quality board - and nothing I've experienced using it in recent weeks suggests anything else. I'm looking forward to spending a lot more time on it over the coming months and feel that this was money really well spent.

(Glad you approve, Danielle) � Delivery was much quicker than expected too. The board itself is amazing, and well packed, just need a break In the rain to get out on it now! No doubt will certainly be shopping here again (I’ve got a downhill board I’m looking at getting some new trucks and wheels for)
