It's genuinely difficult to say how impressed we were with our first visit to Vandem. We (my young son and I) were treated with such respect, patience and warmth.
Whilst we knew very little, the advice and help was never patronizing, indeed it was almost as if we were made to feel part of the brotherhood of longboarders and welcomed into the fold! What really blew me away was that upon telephoning a day later to enquire about another board for my (other) son I was told that a certain product that I had (already) purchased was now cheaper and they insisted on crediting the difference. This was without me knowing this or asking!
I have bought huge amounts of kit over the years and this has been the best experience by far.
'Support your local (specialist) shop' has perhaps become a bit of a cliche but I now would not dream of using anyone else for what has already become a wonderful new sport for our whole family.

Some other things to consider...
- If in doubt - go softer! Turnier boards are easier to balance on, and a lot more fun to skate.
- If you are "between hardnesses," we would recommend the softer option. So for example, for a 73kg rider, "Soft" rather than "Stock Setup" might be a better choice. Get in touch if you're not sure!
- if you want a very turny board - say for a dancing longboard - then it's worth going one stop softer than you otherwise would do. Watch out for wheelbite though!
- Likewise, if you want a board for downhill speed, then go up a step harder than the weight table suggests.
- You do have a bit of adjustment in the truck's kingpin nut, but we would suggest that if you have more than two threads showing then it's time to go to a harder bushing.

This board is great for cruising. It’s shorter than what I’m used to, so word to the wise take extra care with balance if you’re downsizing too, but it’s forgiving and easy to adapt and a great board to have in my quiver. I wanted a lightweight longboard for quick trips and this absolutely ticks the box. The team at Vandem couldn’t have been more pleasant and professional with keeping me up-to-date with my order, I can’t recommend the board and shopping at Vandem enough - they’ve got a life-long customer out of me!
