Ordered some bits and pieces and missed the Christmas postage cut off date. Got a call, they explained the situation and couldn’t have been more helpful.
Also their website is second to none. A huge range of boards, accessories and all the other bits you might need, but the articles are BRILLIANT. For a total beginner like me, these articles are a godsend.

I must have called Adam up at least 4 times to get his advice on how to set up a longboard that I was "hoping" to buy for my daughter—probably dumb questions such as will it take my weight if I jumped on it, are the wheels large enough for what my daughter wants to do, to what type of bolts and length of bolts I should choose! Adam's advice on choice of components, maintenance and setup, were spot on. His knowledge and clear enthusiasm for skateboarding gave me the confidence to buy from Vandem. The Vandem website also has superb in-depth information for newbies like me. Even though the deck my daughter wanted had sold out—I purchased elsewhere to get in time for Christmas—I didn't consider buying the other components from anywhere else. Vandem's pricing was competitive and more importantly the service and advice was second to none. Adam offered to put together the bearings, wheels and truck so it was one less thing for me to worry about (which I took him up on). He even phoned me the day before (Friday late afternoon) to keep me informed that delivery should arrive on Monday. As it turned out, it arrived the next morning! Everything well packaged and included free washers that are not normally part of the components but Adam advised would protect the deck—it would have been how he would set up the board if it was his. Vandem will be my default for anything Skateboard and longboard related. Great service and cannot recommended highly enough.

Had no clue what Longboard to buy my daughter for Christmas, luckily enough I stumbled upon the Vandem website, which had a good write up on a beginners guide to Longboarding. So, I emailed the shop and asked a load of dumb novice questions, the patients and detailed response from Adam was second to none. I ordered the Lush Freebyrd Lo-pro, which I have to say looks absolutely MINT! Can't wait for my daughter to see it. To sum things up, you get what you pay for, this shop, from my experience has outstanding communication, super quick delivery, quality items, which are built around excellent customer service! I ordered a Lush Legend X-flex elite complete after receiving an email notification that they were back in stock (the email notification worked - yay! - some companies don't actually follow up!) and it arrived really quickly. The free bearing lube was a great addition and thank you also for the free DVD! Overall the Vandem site really helped me make my choice of which longboard to buy as a beginner, the help articles are invaluable. This shop is clearly run by people who really know their stuff and care about helping you buy what you need to have the best time possible, rather than just making a quick buck. Thank you!

I have been speaking to Adam since my first enquiry a few months back, my new longboard was despatched yesterday once Adam had managed to source all the components due to the mad world we are currently living in, I have to say this is one of the best customer experiences I have ever had, Adam has been superb from start to finish & I have no doubt that when my board arrives I am going to be stoked. I struggled to find the right board in all the shops in London. I really liked how they positioned themselves apart from the flock of shops in their video. I've always wanted to try skateboarding and when my two 6 year olds showed an interest, it had to be done! After borrowing a friend's board I knew we needed something easier to learn on... And I really fancied a long board to fulfill my windsurfing itch I no longer have the time to do.
The new board is so much easier for all of us to learn on than our borrowed board, so thank you again.
After a few weeks of some great progress I found out that the way to land from a catapult is not the same as windsurfing and broke my collar bone, oops! PLEASE PLEASE, IF YOU ARE NEW TO SKATEBOARDING watch youtube, learn and make the right way to fall automatic. Whatever you do though, don't let this put you off, these boards are so much fun.

Super helpful and knowledgeable. Really happy with the cruiser we bought. I love the logo artwork on the bottom, and on the top of the board, so don't mind it 'cluttering' up my hallway at home . My daughter said she'd probably cover it in stickers, but I think she's changed her mind now she's using it and her friends have said its cool and fast!

Coming back to boarding after many years away i checked out there website which is superb and has loads of info to get me back up to speed and i highly recommend viewing it prior to a new purchase. i then phoned the shop and Adam talked me through some options unfortunately the original Lush deck i wanted was out of stock but i manged to get a Drop Hammer instead which great. All arrived on time and well packaged with a personal note which was a nice touch. i cannot recommend Vandem highly enough. Thanks a lot

Amazing service received from Adam, I was having difficulty choosing the right cruiser and Adam gave me some solid honest advice. In the end I chose the Landyachtz dinghy and oh my what a fun board, it's so rad, even an old git like me can have a ton of fun on this thing it's amazing! When I need a replacement I'll definitely be using Vandem again, thanks guys!
