About this product

The Loaded Tan Tien pretty much revolutionised longboarding when it appeared a few years back. Small, light, flexy and nimble, it features small kicktails to allow a plethora of flips and dancing tricks.

The Tan Tien is a great alternative to a "mini cruiser," being small enough to lug around when you're not skating it, but not so small that there's not enough to stand on - which we find to be a common problem from a lot of our customers! Essentially it's a mini longboard.

The deck itself using a combination of bamboo and fibreglass, with extra glass reinforcement at the nose and tail to prevent too much damage. It's drop-through, and it'll fit pretty much any skate truck out there.

The glass and bamboo construction, pressed into the cambered "moustache" profile that you can see in the pictures, gives the board a springy, responsive flex. The Tan Tien is a great little board for pumping in and out of turns, with a lot of energy return.

You can choose your flex to suit your weight and riding style. If you're not sure which flex is best for you - get in touch and we'll help you make the right choice!

FAQ's for Loaded Longboards Tan Tien Deck Only

Q: Which flex of Tan Tien is best for me?

The weight guide on the flex options are the best place to start. Like all Loaded Boards, the Tan Tien is available in a number of Flex Options - "Flex 1" being the stiffest, and "Flex 3" being the flexiest. "Flex 2" is somewhere in between. As well as going off the weight guides for each flex, we'd recommend that you also consider your riding style. Go for a stiffer flex if you are really into flips and shuvits, and a lighter/flexier flex if you just want to carve, cruise and pump around.
