About this product
The new Freebyrd LoPro is a lower version of the timeless Lush Freebyrd - now pressed with rocker for an even lower ride height and a more comfortable ride!
The Freebyrd is a drop-through cruiser offering from Lush Longboards, built low for an easy push and footbrake. A great start to longboarding from the original UK longboard brand - you can't go wrong with this for a first setup.
A drop-through truck mount makes this board nice and low, which translates to easy pushing and footbraking - both essential skills. A rockered maple deck gives a lively flex, and a mellow concave is comfortable underfoot whilst giving you just enough grip for the odd slide or two.
The complete turns on Sabre trucks (either Forged or Cast, depending on your choice of setup) for a surfy, smooth setup. A great place to start out longboarding!
The Elite Complete is a premium cruising/carving setup, with super-light aftermarket Sabre Forged Precision Freeride Trucks. You might wonder why you would want such a high-end truck on a board like this - until you have a go on a pair! These precision trucks are significantly smoother in the turn and you will absolutely notice the difference. Fast, plush Cult Rapture Wheels give you enough grip, speed and control, and the whole thing is rolling on smooth Sabre Trucks Built-In Race Bearings.
The Pro Complete is built with Sabre "Standard" 180mm longboard trucks and Cult Rapture Wheels. Sabre Hardware and Sabre Trucks Built-In Race Bearings. finish it off. This is probably the best value board we sell in our whole shop, with decent trucks that turn really well and fast aftermarket wheels.
The Standard Complete comes set up with the same Sabre "Standard" 180mm longboard trucks as the Pro and Elite, but to keep the price down it's specced with smaller (slower) Cult Classic 66mm wheels and ABEC5 metal shielded bearings. If you want to get rolling on a budget - this is the place to be!

Great board for beginning but not simply a beginners board
This is a ridiculously good board for the money. It's not a beginners board, just a good board for a beginner. If you can only have one board get this one. By swapping out bushings & wheels you can go from carving cruiser to sliding machine with a bit of DH-freeride thrown in. Even some cross-steps & Peter-pans are possible.
Great service and product
Great stuff all round and good advice prior to purchase! Highly recommended. Might have to buy one for myself now that the teenagers have them....
The guys are super helpful and advised on the best set-up to get started! I've been riding for a few months now and love this board, it's super smooth and rides faasssst. Keep it up guys!
Excellent Service, Excellent Price.
Got some sound advice and a friendly attitude when asking questions. Approved what I suggested when I said what I was looking for and didn't try to up sell me. Products were great and delivery timing was excellent.
Excellent service and product
The team at Vandem were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They helped me to choose the right board for my 10 year old, who wanted a board that would be most in line with snowboarding. The board is great. My son loves it and says his birthday was the best birthday ever!
FAQ's for Lush Longboards Freebyrd Lo-Pro
Q: How does the Freebyrd compare to the Mindless Wreather?
It's quite a different board to be honest - the Lush Freebyrd is flexier and lighter, as it's designed more as a cruiser/carver than a freestyle board like the Mindless Wreather. With its mini-kicks and stiffer flex, the Mindless longboard is closer to something like the Lush Symbian 3D or the Loaded Tan Tien. Check them out if that's what you're after!
Q: What's a drop-through truck?
See how the truck is mounted "through" the deck? This lowers the deck height, creating stability and making the board lower to the ground. These two things make the board nicer to push and footbrake, and they also makes slides more controllable if you want to do any of that/ For just cruising and carving about though, drop-through trucks are ideal.
