You will struggle to find a decent setup for less than £100. Cheaper longboards may seem like a good deal, but the reality is that they are poorly designed and assembled and will not skate well compared to a \"Real\" setup.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you buy a cheap board, it will not skate as good, you will have less fun, and probably skate a lot less. They're not really like much else out there right now.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePoured from the same \"Randy\" urethane as their Nipples bushings, they're nice and bouncy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe colours are the same too - Orange for soft, and Purple for Medium. There's no harder Yellow duro available for the Knuckles right now.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSimilar to the Nipples, a pack of Knuckle bushings also comes with four bushings and four washers. Enough for your whole skateboard, which makes life easier.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSo which should you get - Knuckles, or Nipples?\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLet's look at the obvious differences.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNipples come with Flat Washers - Knuckles come with Cup Washers. This means the Knuckles have more \"bounce\" - a higher return to centre. Better for carving and cruising around, whilst the Nipples on flat washers might be better for a bit of speed and a \"dead\" feeling truck.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe have to say though - the cup washers that come with the Knuckles are not a very good fit on the bushing, so there will be a fair bit of slop in your truck.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA pack of Nipples consists of four barrel bushings. They're pretty wide as bushings go - so there's a good bit of stability there.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA pack of Knuckles comes with two barrel bushings with inserts that lock into your truck seats - they go on the boardside. Then for the roadside bushings you get a \"Gumdrop\" shape - which is a sort of rounded cone. Knuckles bushing are a bit narrower than most, which means more lean and turn.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe insert on the Knuckles helps a bit with the slop, but it also restricts the lean a little bit compared to the flat-topped Nipples. The \"Gumdrop\" bushing acts much like a regular Cone shape, but with a bit more rebound.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOur recommendation?\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor speed - get the Nipples, unless you want a strong return to centre, in which case get something else with cup washers. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor carving and dancing, get the Knuckles. We would consider swapping out the Knuckles \"Insert\" bushing with a bottom Nipple though, as you'll get even more lean this way and the Nipple barrel fits better into the Knuckle cup washer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOrangatang Knuckles are designed to fit with Paris Trucks. Orangatang's new Blue 77A isn't the fastest, but it's really given this wheel a new lease of life. At 77A the In Heat gives a crazy smooth ride and has enough grip for most things. grip comes from the wheel shape and lips, and to be honest once those lips have gone there's not really a lot of grip to be had from these. Happy urethane is fast, plush and sugary, but it's not the most durable so it struggles to hold an edge for very long. That said, if your focus is more on cruising, the In Heat is a solid 75mm choice, with decent roll speed, lots of inertia and a super-plush This means that they do a lot more to reduce truck slop, which is very important at such a narrow hanger width. This kit also comes with new sleeves to fit the upgraded queenpins - you can't us your R1 sleeves on the S2 queenpins.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe new queenpins also have a \"spherical\" head to them, rather than the simpler domed head of the R1 queenpins. This means that there is less restriction on the truck as it gets to the edge of its lean. The kit also comes with new, larger Queenpin Pivot Cups, which \"click\" on the new queenpin better, and further reduce the slop. Again, note that you can't use the R1 queenpin pivot (green) with the new S2 queenpin pivot (black).\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs well as all-new queenpins, this kit also contains a set of inserts for the bushing seat, like a \"plug\" bushing. This does further reduce the slop, although like all plug\/insert bushings, it can restrict the lean of the truck at its limit.
